Reporter says LSU never is on the court for the National Anthem

due to Mulkey, because she knows her players would kneel or show some disrespect and it would embarrass her and the program...as Mulkley is antileft...per The Blaze.

the anthem at commercial events is just marketing...like American flags at car dealerships..

I was at the SECT, LSU did not come out for the NA at those games.

It makes no sense that Mulkey is ostensibly MAGA, but also encourages her players to disrespect and protest the anthem.
I’ve never seen anything woke posted from the players (albeit I’ve never looked, but I figured it would’ve been posted here).
This whole thing seems like anti-wokesters looking for a reason to be aggrieved. It’s all very contrived.
And if Gov. Landry really wanted to affect change without using this as a moment to peacock, then he would’ve engaged with Louisiana university presidents directly in a less public and caustic manner.

College students in general are woke, due to the idiot professors running around most campuses. Black athletes most likely lean Dem due to history/ family/ etc. so coaches are dealt a rough hand to contend with for sure!
Idk if this was KM’s thinking but it would make sense to avoid the controversy by just not giving them an opportunity to kneel and draw her wrath! I’m pretty sure she would not be happy with it…and it would give the WP one more thing to add to their next hit piece.

You’re still not getting it. Mulkey’s not encouraging anything, but she can’t control any disrespect so she avoids the situation. No anthem, no possibility of disrespect and controversy. Mulkey knew when that anthem would be played, The naivety continues.

I go to most of the home games and very seldom is our opponent out for the anthem either. Nobody seems to want to say that neither UConn or USC were out for the anthem in their game

If so good yall worried about standing for that anthem but you should be fighting to letting them pray to the Lord Jesus Christ out in public, that's what matters.

I speculated this to a friend of mine when this all broke. It was just a wild guess on my part but it was about the only thing that made any sense. I think Kim suspected she had some kneelers and just decided to remove the possibility of that happening.
