Why would this even be an option? I’m sure someone besides Brady can implement the playbook.

I was saying that Steve was OC for 2 years and it was Miles x2...The offensive production was due to Brady and his recognition of what would work in a given situation....
We must hold as many assistants as we can who know the system and have had input in the offense.

Well, we got one magical season. I wish we'd have at least gone another year and secured a big time QB prospect, the kind we don't normally get.

Ah well.

Congrats to Coach Brady. He helped give us this season and we should be forever grateful. Geaux tigers.

It's all good. Coach O wrote down everything Brady knew and installed in his binder. Just gonna give it to the next guy who comes along....

I was hoping he’d stick around another year. Let’s face it. That’s the most we’d get from him. I think he could have benefited from 1 more year at LSU. He and the Panthers are taking a risk. Hope it pays off for him.

Just due to Brady, eh?

Not Orgeron and Ensminger for deciding to spread things out in the first place? Not Joe Burrow? Not CEH? Not an improved WR corps? Not an improved OL, that finished last in the SEC for sacks allowed in 2018, but won the Joe Moore award in 2019? Not 7 returning starters and 12+ with significant playing time?

Man you guys are really selling the rest of the team short in this thread.

crazy huh...its like he is Jesus Christ walking on water. Sorry but lets see how Brady does without Burrow before we anoint him the 2nd coming. Personally I think he would be better off waiting a year or two before making such a large move....but I do understand that right now he is a hot commodity and its probably the most opportune time for him to take advantage of his situation, so honestly I don't blame him.

I don’t mean to sell Brady short by any means. I have a ton of respect for what he’s brought to the program this year. But the way some folks are talking right now is just ridiculous.

tRant from 2011-2018:
“I don’t understand why we aren’t running the spread with LSU’s athletes. Literally anybody running a modern offense would be successful with these players.”

tRant 2020:
“OMG this team is nothing without Joe Brady.”

lol this was announced less than 24 hours after we won the nc

all that tells me is that brady's mind had been made up

LSU can make a push all they want, he's gone

E did throw in some stuff last season we never saw under Les. We didn't fully sellout to the spread like we did this year but you could tell we were changing things up a little.

I don't think we go back to the Les years but I trust Slinger to keep the train rolling.

Thanks Joe.

It’s well-deserved.

Now if you leave there and go to the gumps in two years ...

Brady has been great for LSU in this one year and I wish him the best. We’ve seen amazing years for first year coaches before, who then started falling off right after and it happened repeatedly.

Hell Canada win the Broyle’s award and came to LSU only to struggle and then went to Maryland where he as dropped.

Crowton in 2007 then dropped like a rock. Cameron in 2013 and then it degreased. Having a 5th year senior QB doesn’t hurt either.

All that said, I hope Brady flips on the NFL as a Saints fan but can’t blame him for leaving and taking the chance when offered.

LSU will be fine and I think E is the kind of coach that just needed help in learning a new system honestly and is a great playcaller. You saw that in 2016 when he took over for Cameron. You could pair him with someone like Moorehead and not miss a beat in my opinion.

Whatever happens it was a great ride, but I think Brady gets way more credit than he deserves although he deserves a ton and I’ve always felt that way.
