I don't think you realize how rural Louisiana is. Go five minutes out of baton rouge in any direction (not just towards LP) and you will only find bars named 'chucks' 'charlies' etc. where there are more people than teeth in the joint. Places where there is still a jukebox, not a dj or computer.

i know exactly how rural louisiana is.
but i also know that south of the mississippi is cajun country not hick.

and also, i know a little something about something called population distribution.

Aren't you being a bit judgemental? I am sure their are plenty of ppl who have some opinions about the music you play.

ponch, i give people the choice whether or not to listen to my music.

Karma, maybe when your band makes it out of chelsea's a WLOTM song can get played in TS.

you should probably look at the 80 dates that we have played/will play across the US this year alone before you talk elleshoe.

and btw, the music that I play is irrelevant to this thread. Because I think my music would be equally inappropriate in TS.
this is about representing LSU in the right way.

nay... i remember the first time i walked in TS and they played that. It sent chills down my spine and it still does every single time. Born on the Bayou is a great song, but Callin' BR has to stay.

yeah.

They need to take this arguement to the Saints board. I wonder what would be said if they wanted "Get Crunk" replaced at Saints games because it has nothing to do with football. I especially want to hear Karma's opinion on this, he is a huge Saints fan.

the saints are not a college football team. The saints are paid entertainment. the saints do not have 100 years of tradition. they do not have a catalog of fight songs.

but IMHO, i think the new orleans franchise does way more to embrace its cultural roots and the history and city of new orleans than LSU does for Louisiana.

How long have they been playing that God-awful song before games? Seems like it is a recent thing...maybe 2-3 years...

Thats cool and I am not judging what you play, I have listened to you its good music. We have met before your a good guy, but from reading this thread it comes off more as your dislike of country music than anything else.

I love country music. Hank WIlliams Sr. Waylon Jennings Johnny Cash.

But just because I love "you're cheating heart" doesn't make it a good song to play at LSU games.
