Pocic
Malone
Weathersby
C.O.V.

Malone filled in for Hawk at LT this year, thinking that means he gets a shot at a tackle spot

Pocic & Weathersby

Based on current OL in the program, my guess would be across the line:
Pocic LT
Teuhema LG
Clapp C
Brumfield RG
Weathersby RT

Right side will be young/inexperienced but very talented. Looking fwd to seeing/hearing about the spring competition and who rises to the first 5. GT!

I think Pocic had hip surgery and won't be available for Spring; can anyone confirm that?

I know he's talented but I hate that he'll only hae the Fall to practice at LT...

Hawkins is the only one of those two we need to replace. Alexander is coming back, IDK if you caught the news.

Pocic isn't going to have any trouble kicking out to tackle. That's a much more natural position for him.

Looks like it's gonna be:

LT: Pocic
LG: Maea
C: Clapp
RG: Brumfield/Boutte
RT: Weatherby/KJ

Hopefully Boutte can turn the corner and get a mean streak

Has the potential to be a mauler

Identify 5 best and then figure it out, my guess is Weathersby at RT and Pocic gets shot at LT

Okeke could be a guy that starts at G and moves out to T

Clapp to C

Teuhema at G

Campbell will compete early at G

Agreed. Just too big and out of shape. Harris had the beautiful post to Dural in the State game that was negated because Boutte was too slow and had to hold the DT.

Also don't sleep on Brumfield, cats a player.

Also curious. Anybody hear anything on the development of Chidi Valentine-Okeke? Pretty sure he was a 5*, but super raw for an olinemen.

Why is it a forgone conclusion that Pocic goes out to tackle? He was our best lineman last year and stayed at center because he could make all the calls. I'm not saying he doesn't, but it's not set in stone. This may be a blessing is disguise to have the linemen all shuffling around with his absence in Spring ball.

Not a foregone conclusion, but he's our most experienced lineman with the size and mobility to play LT. He was blocked last year by Hawkins, but this year he makes the most sense to shift to LT.

Not to mention Clapp is a year older and a good fit at Center.

He should be able to make the calls, and I wouldn't mind a guy like Clapp there. I feel like Pocic isn't as suited to take on a NT.
