In an interview today, he said LSU tried to hire his PC last year before going after Wes Johnson.

Spoke to one of the Arkansas pitchers Dad’s about Johnson. Had only positive things to say about him. Was a reason his son chose Arkansas and said he’s a good recruiter. Johnson and his son still talked often while Johnson was in the majors.
Attributed more of the TJ surgeries to pitchers being over used before college.
Ultimately said LSU is loading up on a talent and coaching standpoint.

I’ve heard… or read lol, nothing but big love for him. Even from Arky fans. Matter fact a lot of arky fans (the true baseball fans who actually know the sport) were hoping that he was going to be the one replacing dinosaur Dave.
