an Ohio Valley Conference team with a losing record on it’s fourth day pitching options held a top-8 national seed team to 4 runs in a regional championship game in their own stadium.

To use Paul Mainieri’s favorite phrase, that’s baseball.

Not yet. If we lose tonight we will be laughed at just the same.

Same thing I’m saying about Vanderbilt, Texas, and Georgia today. I would laugh, say it’s embarrassing, and delight that the path to a title just got that much easier

I’d probably say that an Sec team that held the above mentioned team and then the 2 seed to zero runs while scoring 19 and then not throwing their best pitchers available plus out hitting the above team but gave up 11 walks lost a game. I’d follow that up with our 2 best relievers will throw as many innings as needed.

The difference is, UTSA would kick Little Rock's arse.

I’d say “wow that’s crazy…I’m sure they’ll kill em in the next game” and go on about my day.

Yeah, UTSA is actually a good team and has been all year.

To be fair. I thought Rhode Island and DBU would kick LR’s arse as well..

I love how this board just pretends like upsets never happen in college baseball. Especially in a more crazier postseason in a while. With that said, we roll tonight!

LSU would kick Little Rock’s arse. Dallas Baptist would kick Little Rock’s arse. But they didn’t.

Just glad to still be in tournament. It’s the beauty of baseball. Many don’t see it

At least is wasn't the #1 overall seed.

ETA: I also said I would have felt better about playing DBU again. Sometimes teams like this catch fire for no apparent reason. Momentum is a strange thing

I might raise an eyebrow for a second. In the grand scheme of things, tonight is the one that matters. If LSU wins, nobody will care that LR won the game last night except the players that get a great memory from it.

It is not about UTSA being better than LR or not

UTSA swept texas on the season and ended Texas' 2025 season

We are still playing, they aren't, so At least we aren't Texas. That can change by the end of the night, but it hasn't yet so i am not going to act like it has
