REALLY hope he's used almost exclusively an edge/spy. His incredible talent is somewhat wasted at such a less valuable position like off ball LB.

It's like we are Penn State with Micah Parsons and have the advanced knowledge of his ability on the edge so we don't waste his college career like PSU did.

I wonder how much weight he put on during the off season. He was a bit light last year and I saw where that held him up at times. There's no debating his talent and his speed makes him a concern for offenses.

His speed and flexibility reminds me of K'Lavon Chaisson in 2019. How he gets low sideways is his real strength. Hard to defend that if you are a 6'6" OT.

Gotta think FSU turns out different if we had him in the field instead of just special teams.

Then he barely saw the field vs Tenn.

Pretty sure they wont be using him like a conventional inside LB. He will be blitzing up the middle, coming off the edge, spying the QB, dropping into coverage at times. OC's are going to have aa even harder time trying to guess where he will be coming from on any given play

Full offseason, Perk is coming hard this year. A year in the nutrition program makes a huge difference, and learning the system from House. I bet there will very rarely be two plays in a row you see him lined up in the same spot

Goose bumps watching the whole video. Kid may be the best we ever see in that side of the ball. I cannot wait for the season to start.

Remember that our DC also has mad LB coaching skills. I believe that Perk will be coming from ALL OVER the field!

His closing speed is just cheat code. If he can add strength /weight and keep that speed and quickness, which is usually a problem, then I can’t imagine the impact…

Closest player to TM7 I’ve seen since TM7.

Agreed! Him and a healthy DL make this FSU game much more intriguing.

Looking forward to Maason and Wingo creating turmoil inside to free up Perkins up the middle.

I'm kinda there with you, but I also kinda trust House to put him in positions to consistently wreak havoc.

I have visions of Harold and Greg Brooks shooting into the backfield Tyrann/ Ron Brooks style. Make it happen, Matt.

Still love that interview from Lane where he said Perkins is just different than any other player on the field and he changed the game. Dude is a special, special talent. Cannot wait to see him on the field with Maason Smith this year.

I Love that teams will have to focus on Perkins and Smith leaving the door open for Speights. At Oregon St. He was the Perkins but at LSU he is going to be freed up to eat. Looking for him to explode this year because of Perk.

This makes him a one trick pony and teams can scheme around him

The cut up really puts into perspective how many plays Perkins affects that don't end up in the stat sheet. So many off target throws caused by his presence.
