Lost in the attention to Kim's evisceration of Glenn Guilbeau during the epic press conference was Kim's comment that the team was still a work in progress fitting all the pieces together, but when it did it was going to be beautiful. That moment arrived early in the second quarter last night and this team suddenly realized how good they could be when they trusted each other. You could just see how the light came on and they recognized the strengths of their teammates and began working toward maximizing the shared output. It really was beautiful to watch it unfold. There was nothing a very good Virginia Tech team could do to stop it.

I wasn't able to watch the game. How did Angel Reese do?

Started out rushing everything but she was so amped up. When she came in at the 7minute mark in the second quarter she looked like her old self again. JMO on the matter

Agree with everything you said and will add that it’s still not to the chemistry level Kim wants it. This team could win it all.

I watched the first 8-10 minutes of the game and saw a struggling team trying to find its identity. WV looked more in sync, and I thought this LSU team has a long way to go and left for a few minutes to take out the dog. I returned at about 7 minutes in the 2nd period and saw a totally different team with LSU ahead by about 6. I thought "What happened?" and was pleasantly surprised. Yes, it was a thing of beauty, but there is a whole lot of room for improvement (Shaq and Angel both have free throw issues I thought). The team did have some inconsistency, but meshed as time progressed. I see this team to be potentially better last year's. And-it was fun to watch. Geaux Tigers!

Nah! She repeated that last night after the game.

The bouquet is opening but it isn't in full bloom.

I was surprised at the degree of teamwork last night but it appears there is still room for improvement.

If Reese can tame the snakes in her head this can be a phenomenal year. Otherwise it’s going to be a rough ride. She’s going to insist on making it all about her regardless.

No doubt still a work in progress as is the case for all teams at this time of the year. However, you could just see the light of recognition of who they are and what they could be come on in the second period. The roles were accepted and Angel stepped back and let Morrow and Williams take over offensively while she did the dirty work on the boards. Morrow let her overall game flourish without being self conscious of how it might be accepted. Van Lith was content to run the offense with 5 assists and no concern about her own scoring. Flauje was just Flauje flying around the court creating havoc. Despite her youth Williams just kept firing one dagger after another and the older teammates just let her continue to toy with the opponents.

I think you're dead wrong with this.

That's what makes this even more exciting.

They don't play again until the 10th, I believe. After last night, that feels like a long wait.

There was a moment towards the end of the game and they showed Mulkey standing on the sideline, and she had this smile on her face like,” yeah, this team is going to be good!”

People either didn't listen to CKM or blew her comments off, but she said all during the pre season that Colorado had all its returning starters back, mostly if not all seniors, from last year's tourney-quality team. They had the necessary seasoning & chemistry from the tip off. That's what is developing now for this team.

Did you watch the game. listen to her interview?
I'm an old fogy and I was disappointed with her after the championship.
Last night, however, she acted like a real leader, down to business and talked about building the "Team".

That’s just a really, really sorry thing to say. A young person getting a lot of attention is going to enjoy it. There’s nothing wrong with that. She’s the heart and soul of the team and was a big part of them winning the championship last year. This piling on Reese by Tiger fans needs to stop.

I saw that image and thought the exact same thing. Clogs were turning in her head and she had a pleasant shite eat'n grin. This team it absolutely better at this time than last years team.

Yes, I noticed they got it clicking after the first quarter last night and it was beautiful. Only thing that stuck out as an issue was the near fighting for rebounds
