I do, and we looked darn good in them.

And O was at the helm.

Those bigtime wins and that success is what got him the job. He came in, there were some questions, and then he got to work and we won some big games.

The A&M finale was amazing...watching us run all over them. And that was before Canada even came on board. O wasn't a problem then; hell it got him the job.

So if he could get it on track then and do that then for us, he can do it now.

Remember the Miss St/Syracuse/Troy game THIS year? I do, and LSU looked like afterbirth in them. The fool's gold you hung onto from last year has lost it's shine, and revealed itself to be a giant turd in disguise. You wanted O, you got him. Be careful what you wish for. Only problem is many of us didn't want O, but we got stuck with him anyway.

People keep forgetting how good that roster was. Outside of QB, they were a championship caliber roster.

so the A&M win wasnt a big win? The louisville win, and beating the heisman winner like that, wasnt a big win?

of course they were.

Keep in mind O took down top 5 andrew luck and stanford when he was at USC as well.

He knows how to win big games.

The two teams with a pulse last year we lost to.

In one full offseason under O, every unit looks dramatically worse.

We can't even compete with Troy and MSU

Hell we were lucky to beat Syracuse

Shut up alter

You seem to have forgotten about those "big time" games vs Bama and Florida last year.

I didnt want O. I wanted us to go with a real coaching search after we didnt get jimbo or herman. But we went with O. And that was the choice. So we live with it.

only a few things changed:
beckwith
white
adams
fournette
godchaux
dupre
dural
pocic
reilly

the name at the top of the list was some big shoes to fill on defense. the defense did not play as well after they lost him against florida!!!!!

With this, you must say he also knows how to lose small games (Troy).

hodsontofuller, what guys like you don't understand is that was Miles' team that beat those guys. Maybe it was a better team with Orgeron at the helm, but that's tweaking what Miles built.

Miles built the discipline into that team.
Miles built the toughness into that team
Miles trained the ball carriers not to fumble
Miles built the playbook that Ensminger used (and used well, imo)
Miles built the 2017 recruiting class that O closed on

An offseason down the line, and all of that is deteriorating. Deteriorating because our head coach does not have the managerial bandwidth to manage all of these processes, plus two dozen more.

He knows how to generate the "us against the world mentality" in the face of a crisis (A HC firing for example).

After that emotion wears off, you're stuck with a DLine coach who you wouldn't even hire as a coordinator.
