Regional: 18 SEC wins

"Usually", an SEC team needs 18 SEC regular season wins to insure themselves a place in a regional.
LSU is 3-9...18 games left.
Will this group win 15?
As far as hosting, you usually have to be in the top 16, with very few exceptions. Arkansas, Vandy, A&M, Kentucky, Alabama & Tennessee have better SEC records than LSU. Georgia has a better overall record.
18 games left...to win, I believe we will need leadership, confidence & a 3d starter...but I don't see a kid named Miracle on the roster. I hope I am wrong.

18 SEC wins gets you a top 8 national seed. 13 wins just about locks you into a regional in the SEC. 15-16 SEC wins gets you a regional host

14 wins especially in a tough SEC will get you in a regional.

We are not getting to 18. 12-6 rest of the way is doable and that puts us at 15, likely on the road in a regional

Really hope you guy's math is right. Still - winning 12 of the remaining 18 SEC games will equal winning each of the six remaining series just to get to 15.

Only 4 SEC teams had 18 conference wins last season.

Most teams go 14-16 in conference play most likely will make it to ncaa tournament without a deep conference tournament run like ole Miss did in 2022 but at least 1 to 2 wins in tournament should help lsu out when selection show comes around

Get to 14 wins in SEC play, and thar should get you to a regional.
I don't see a pathetic where this team can host. In fact, I'm a little worried about the 14 mark.
13 leaves you work to do in the SEC tourney and right now I'd say they're playing to get to hoover.

If LSU gets 18 SEC wins they are hosting a regional. You seriously think we need 18 wins to make the postseason? We’d be in the postseason with 13 wins
ETA 18 sec wins means lsu has to go 15-3 the rest of the way. We may get a national seed if we do that

LSU would have a decent shot at 13. It’s pretty dumb to suggest we need 18 to get into a regional which is probably why you have people pointing out that can be accomplished with as few as 13 wins.

If you have 13 SEC wins, with an RPI below 40, you’re in the NCAA tournament.
In 2021, LSU had 13 SEC wins, an RPI of 19 and they weren’t even close to the last team being in. That same year, Alabama was 12-17 in the SEC with an RPI of 36 and made it in to the LA Tech regional as a 3 seed. Georgia missed out that year with an RPI of 44. South Carolina missed out in 2022 with a 13-17 record but an RPI of 69.
You have a 99.999% chance of making it with 14 SEC wins.

Usually, people say crap on here they just make up, like that one.
In the last 10 season 42 teams have made the tournament with 18 or more wins, 47 have made it with fewer than 18 wins (one with 12).
Every team with 16 SEC wins in that period has made it, 9 with 15 and 9 with 14 have made it while only 2 each with that SEC win total has not.

Right now we need to only worry about making the SEC Tourney, we don’t make that we might not be in the post season
