Regardless of what happens to Miles, Alleva needs to be shown the door.

The way this debacle was handled was deplorable. All the negative attention LSU is getting rests squarely on Alleva's ugly shoulders.

He's had no balls when it came to standing up for LSU when it counts.

He is a thief of joy. The sooner he is run out of town the better off LSU will be.

We might want to chill on the knee-jerk firing plans until we get a little better at it.

If Miles stays after all this he needs to go for sabotage to the program. If there is an immediate hire he can stay. If there is a search due to no replacement then he needs to go for being an idiot.

Everybody wants instant information, however, the media and social media doesn't allow an organization to access their options and work to do what's best for the Organization as a whole.

I don't think Alleva, Miles or anyone else owes anyone an explanation until changes are made. There is a board and a hierarchy that runs this program and fr33manator, I strongly doubt you are one of those challenged with the direction that this coaching scenario should take!

Enjoy your life, your inner circle and let those in charge of directing the LSU ship do what they think is best. If you don't like that direction, jump to another ship.

But what the hell, it's called the RANT, rant on.

I have no say in what direction they will go, you have no say and 98% of fans have no say!

How as Alleva mishandled this exactly? IMO, it's been the loose-lipped boosters and "journalists" desperate the be the first to break the story.

Alleva said he'd make no comment until after A&M, and guess what? He hasn't.

He is the AD

The apparent shite show is happening on his watch.

Sorry if you don't like it but Alleva holds the position that should be held responsible.

Am I missing the part where an employee of LSU came out and said Miles will not be retained after Alleva said there would be no comment from he or LSU until after the A&M game?

Look, I'm no Alleva apologist, but please explain to me how he is responsible for boosters and journalists over whom he has zero control (as does any AD).

I already have.

Alleva gets paid big bucks. This is looking more and more like a shite show. If indeed it is what it looks like, LSU should fire him also.

Sorry, but that goes with the territory when you are the AD.

So if you're the AD, what exactly do you do differently? How do you tell a Booster (over whom you have zero control) to keep his mouth shut?

You can't.

I refuse to judge this "coaching search" before the head coach is even fired. Do you really expect a new coach to be hired before the college football regular season is over?

You have no idea how a coaching search works, and you should do some research on previous "shite show" coaching searches. I suggest you start with Alabam in December of 2006.

Any comment by Alleva would have been problematic.

If miles is out, it derails the process.

if he's not, you don't respond to every rumor

If Jimbo's moving trucks show up in Baton Rouge tomorrow, Alleva can stay. If not, show him the door.

Exactly, if you're Alleva or any other employee on LSU's payroll, you play your cards close to the vest so you don't box yourself into a corner.

Based on LSU's official stance to this point, they could either retain or terminate him.

Seriously? Some of you are ridiculous. I'm so glad you aren't a decision maker in this process.
