If bama loses tbey will still get in playoff unless they lose again. I promise u the sec doesn't want the sec left out but I don't see them cheating to get there. They don't need to. Bama is that much better

The ref issue separates the losers from the rest. Anyone who thinks there is a Bama bias is a loser.

2014 game - officials call chintzy PF penalty on Vadal Alexander after LSU had recovered Bama fumble at their 5. The Bama player flopped after being lightly pushed by Alexander. Meanwhile, refs totally miss Gump player(#99) who had an LSU player in a headlock right in front of official. (Btw, the flopping Gump player wouldn't let go of Alexander's leg, thus provoking Vadal's light shove).
2016 game - Chintzy late hit penalty called on Devon White which extends Bama TD drive. On TD run by Hurts, obvious offensive holding by Bama conveniently missed by officials.

It is not paranoia if they are out to get you.

That's what these willing idiots can't process.
For fricks sake, There's photo evidence of the refs failing to make clear game-changing calls in at least two recent games.

We learned in 2011 that beating bama in their house doesn't mean that they are out of the championship race. I don't think it's an issue.

Bama is a favorite for a reason but a lock because of the League office.
Not saying this general mindset at SEC Central isn’t so. But to say LSU is powerless against it is a misread of their ability to prevent LSU from winning. Alabama can do that by playing Alabama level football. LSU can do that by playing like we did versus Moo U or Troy or even UF. Refs can make it harder to win by calls and no-calls.
But if LSU plays at a flawless level, brings it on, and dominates on the field without losing focus and being stupid, then we could all be celebrating an amazing victory.
But a key to victory must include a flawless game in all phases, mental toughness and runaway scoring that negates any likely ref meddling at crucial points.
When we say LSU controls their own destiny, that must by definition mean it starts with LSU controlling this and every subsequent game.

....Not if we cheat.....bigly!!!!!!!! That would be yuuuuuuuuuge!!!!!!!
Remember, Bama is allowed to hold and Jalen Hurts is a delicate person

SEC refs remind me of the refs in "Remember the Titans" where the league offical tells Coach Yost, "Don't worry about Boone winning out, we got this!"

There is no way in hell a ref would ever do anything that may change the outcome of a game. EVER
Alabama - Ole Miss game.
What was really hilarious is that the Bama RB was actually almost a yard short of where the ref decided to mark it in the first place.

Nah...and I'm SUPER QUICK to continually point out how fricking absurd it is that the league members sit back and allow an Alabama alumnus to be Head of Officiating. There's no conspiracy...
But...is there bias? You bet your sweet arse there is. And it has nothing to do with Saban. I ran the numbers several years ago stopping with 2012 I think, but every year from 2000 through then Alabama was penalized much less than LSU on the season. Now...that's kind of odd, right? It didn't matter who was the coach...the guys in Crimson simply did not draw as many flags.
And here's the fun part...we actually share a coach, remember? A guy renowned for being a fricking hard arse and up officials' assholes about calls? While at LSU, his LSU teams were much more penalized than BAMA's...whether it was Dubose, Franchione or even Mike Shula. ALL of them somehow managed a more well disciplined team than Saban's LSU squads.

I'm not gonna bother, but someone can pick up the slack and actually do some research and find out some numbers if you'd like. I'd first look for calls like TARGETING and see how many BAMA has had over the past few seasons. That's a big one, because it takes a player out for an entire game. For a team as aggressive as they are, you ought to see a handful that could even be considered accidental. Next I'd look for first half holding calls if you can find that one.
But no...in no way do I think there is some meeting where Steve Shaw gets together with Tom Ritter and the rest of the officiating crew and they sit there listening to Skynrd talking about how they need to protect Nick and the Tide. That could be dealt with...the real truth is kind of worse I think. Really hard to deal with institutional bias, especially when if you point it out your own fans suggest you're just scared.

i am so tired of our fans crying about the refs. I do remember the first time we beat bama in TS in 30 years we committed PI once or twice in the EZ and no flag was thrown
Posted on 10/25/17 at 11:57 am to Katy Tiger
There is intentional and unintentional bias. LSU has had a lot of personal fouls and targeting calls this season. For that reason alone we will get more scrutiny.
Bama historical gets very few holding calls and refs will likely not look as closely or call as tight against Bama.
It's more of a natural bias vs intentional. That being said, I don't doubt that there are times that Bama gets a tip of the hat from SEC officials.
