I think they both stay. Neither was satisfied with how the season played out.

Reese has declared. HVL going portal.

I think both could stand another year of growth, and besides the unfinished business, I’m sure NIL is more beneficial to them on the college level at this point than cashing in on the pro level.

But more than anything, I think they need LSU and LSU definitely needs them. Everyone wins when they stay another year IMO.

Love how everyone keeps saying nil in college > Wnba. They can still make nil money in wnba. Everyone acts like they know angel and hvl personally. No one knows their situations

HVL won't be drafted in the first round but I can see her going to play in Europe. Very few if any second round draftees get signed and / or make team rosters. Next year she has no promise to be a starter so how would she get better. Reese will go in the first round & it seems she's moved on past college life.

It won’t be NIL, it’ll be endorsements. Both girls have contracts with national brands. So obviously the Gordon McKernan deals won’t follow but the Reebok & Addidas deals can.

I want to give HVL credit for the all out effort she put out defensively throughout the tournament but she was just so bad offensively that it overshadows that effort. All those passes to nobody just killed the Tigers.

Van Lith said something during the press conference that made me think she may be leaning toward staying. She said LSU and Iowa will play again and we'll have another opportunity. It could easily be a slip of the tongue and mean nothing but I'll hope she is coming back.

I'd really like to see them both back.

Reese and Morrow with more support down low with Jersey coming in and a healthy Smith and more experienced ADR.

HVL with another off season and probably more off the ball with more ball handling options.

The team would be really deep. I think depth was one of the main issues this season. And, to have depth (especially experienced, proven depth) you have to keep your pieces intact while supplementing through recruiting and the portal.

HVL

She should stay and let CKM mentor her into becoming a future coach. The passion is there. HVL has been very team oriented and has unselfishly played whatever position CKM has asked of her.

I’m not saying you are wrong but you can bet your arse CKM learned her lesson and will be going all out to get a starting point guard in the portal. It will likely be Michigan State’s DeeDee Hagemann. Flau’jae and Mikaylah will be the shooting guards.

If HVL comes back, she will definitely be coming off the bench as a sixth man. I just don’t see her returning for that.

There are more eyes on the college game than WNBA. Less attractive to an advertiser with substantially less attention and coverage on you

Clark may generate some interest and attention early on but then most will go back to not carrying about a league that simply exists as a write off for the NBA

They both should stay unless they are just tired of school. But at their age, I don’t think they take many classes at all. HVL did not play up to her standard and Reese if she could develop a jump shot, could be the first overall taken and have a long standing WNBA career.

Not only that, but they probably don’t want to take a pay cut.
