I've never rooted against a former LSU player before, but we're reaching uncharted territory if all this is true.

I'm fine with this, but take it one step further and put a black bar over his nameplate and replace his face with a clown face. Just make it extra obvious.

If LSU bought the replica Heisman they don't have to give it back

Didn't players at Arizona State clean his locker for him when he left as if they wanted him gone? I wonder if this is a side of him that he hid very well from LSU while there.

LSU should put out a statement of exactly how much in NIL he was paid while at LSU. Also how much he has given back after being placed as starting QB of a nationally recognized university and football team. I’m guessing Jayden hasn’t given back a dime.

Great stats, big plays, but I never liked the west coast mercenary. He’s showing his true colors.

And let’s not act like we didn’t notice it was ALWAYS all about JD when he was here. His transfer was a pure business decision, and all he ever cared about was himself and his stats/draft status. Kelly sold his soul for the guy.

Unfortunately this is the new state of college football. I really hate what the sport has become, and it ain’t getting any better.

Everything I heard about him at LSU (from staff, players and boosters) was that he lived at the facility to improve his game. It can't be understated how hard he worked to win his Heisman, but doing this is extremely immature and carries an aire of entitlement that (from my understanding) is uncharacteristic of him after coming to LSU.

I hope he learns from this and makes amends honestly, just seems like a maturity issue that he might grow out of.

As they say, this whole debacle is going over as well as a fart in church.

The player and school each have their own Heisman, the schools don’t belong to Jayden…he has completely ruined his legacy at LSU, him and his mother are dumbasses…

Honestly…that was given to LSU by the Heisman foundation.

Sand off Daniels’ name, keep the trophy, and tell him to disassociate himself with LSU.

Give him the Derrius Guice treatment.

Jayden Daniels personally reached out to LSU leadership before fall camp began to express his displeasure with the decision to allow sophomore cornerback DJ Pickett to wear his No. 5.

quote:

Daniels’s camp also requested LSU return its copy of the Heisman Trophy Daniels won in 2023, sources confirmed. LSU has no intention of doing so and is undecided to what degree it will comply with the cease and desist, noting it is not a legally binding document.

LSU coach Lane Kiffin has also spoken with Daniels directly, sources confirmed.

When Pickett was negotiating his contract to return to LSU, money was not the source of the negotiation, but rather the jersey number, LSU sources confirmed.

LSU honors players by retiring their jersey but keeping the number in circulation. One source called retiring numbers a “antiquated policy” noting that NFL teams are moving to a ring of honor instead.

Damn, Jayden. You're burning the bridges on the bayou.
