I’d like to be a fly on the wall when he makes those in home visits!

Go pull up those classes on espn and tell me those were actually great classes
Terrible roster management.
At most three guys are going to be drafted this year. Three guys. That probably hasn’t happened since Curly was coach
The year before we had three second round picks, Key and two guys in the seventh round. Does that feel like Top 5 recruiting and development?
BTW. Only one of the draftees was a lineman and he was one of the 7th rd kids

The point is this is a great class, and no one should say otherwise, but people acting like recruiting was ever LSU's issue
True. The problem was keeping recruits on campus and it seemed we recruited skill over trenches at times.

Ok. Pull them up on 247 or Rivals
Thank you for the thoughtful response

I hope it continues, but LSU should still be in a wait and see mode with Orgeron at this point, not trying to lock him in for years to come based on this season and recruiting class.
Strongly agree!
Look at what dumba*s Auburn did with extending Malzahn. Now they want his a*s gone. If O goes another 3 losses next season, some folks will want him gone. Then what if he suffers 4 or 5 losses in 2020, then what?

So now having 6 players drafted and others signing as free agents is considered bad? Not only do we now have to ignore stats and facts but we also have to redefine reality in order to follow the new narratives and not be considered “haters” or negative. It’s amazing the mental gymnastics you guys do.

Six guys being drafted isn’t bad. Three guys being drafted is bad
So out of approximately 50 guys being signed during that 2 year period we have a total of 9 guys drafted with two of those being 7th rd guys and only one lineman in the mix
Yet many on this site want to claim
1. miles was recruiting at a high level the last few years based on ratings
2. Orgeron inherited a talent rich roster
3. LSU had the talent to compete for NC the past two years and since they did not, Orgeron is failing
Lots of talent on the 2016 squad. That was the last time LSU should have been favored in every game outside of Bama

he sometimes failed to address need and the three years you mentioned are examples. LSU's OL and DL weren't what they once were.
Thank you. Others brought this up, too. I'm glad some fans understand the difference.

Ok but the three guys being drafted is just your prediction it isn’t actually real and the people claiming Miles last few classes were high level are absolutely correct. All 3 of his last classes are ranked higher than any of 0s classes that’s just a fact. 0regeron did inherit a heavily talented roster that’s also a fact. Can you prove the things you’re saying? Every bit of data says exactly the opposite. Do you have any real evidence of your position or is it just a fan driven narrative?

Haters gunna hate.....what miserable freaking lives to sit around trying to find anything negative (couched in positivity)
Instead of enjoying the great season, Great recruiting, and upward trend headed into next year.

What goes through your mind to research and write this crap?

Do you think Brumfeld, Brossette or Battle are going to be drafted? Those are the only possibilities. All are realistically FA guys who will fight to make a roster
Recruiting classes are judged by wins and losses and ulitimately by how many guys end up in the NFL.
We have lost six games the last two years and very few guys are getting drafted. Those are facts
Those facts support my assertion that the roster had issues. The fact that Orgeron had to bring in Burrow,Tracy, Lewis, Traole, Moss, Feheiko and Giles as transfers is also a fact and supports my argument that those Top 10 classes of Miles were a mirage. No top tier team brings in that many transfers if they don’t see holes all over the roster
It is a fact that over the past two years we have had a total of one Lineman drafted and none of the undrafted guys is on an NFL roster
Please keep asking for “facts.” This is easy

these rating are skewed as hell. our OL was mediocre but our DL was putrid. made for some noncompetitive teams

#2, #5 and #2 were based on rankings and not "need". For example, why more kickers than line backers?

Prior to Oregeron taking over Les Miles had more scholarship kickers than Linebackers on the roster.
Sigh...please post a link to the 2016 roster with more kickers on scholarship than linebackers.
