Listening to Moscona and he's laying out some statistics on UF. Says they are dead last in the SEC in ERA and striking people out. They're also starting 3 right handed pitchers this weekend.

Some have really been being hard on Mainieri and some of us have been preaching patience. This seems to me to be a real oppurtunity to get this team hitting that hot streak everyone talks about. If LSU doesn't look good this weekend, I think even the biggest CPM fans are going to start getting pretty restless. I know I will.

Eta: They are hitting pretty well at over .280 and are fourth in the conference so that's good.

Finally. Seems like we play against "one of the best lefties in the country" every week.

True, but I'll go one weekend further.

Next weekend we play at Alabama and they are next to last in ERA in conference games only. Plus, the Gumps are next to last in batting average in conference games only hitting only .218 to-date.

We've got to make a move over these two weekends.

Sorry - accidentally downvoted you.

You and Russian are spot on. Gotta get 5 of 6 the next two weekends. Gotta prepare for the stretch run.

Only 1 game back in the SEC standings. if that gap gets any wider over the next 2 weeks then I’ll join the mob. If we’re going to turn it around we have to do it soon and 5-1 over this weekend and next and we’re still on pace for 20-10. Think it’s doable

I won't say that I will "join the mob" but I will be disappointed and I'll just have to accept that the injuries were not to be overcome this season.

Yeah "join the mob" is bit much for me too. But, doubt will definitely start to creep in on just how good this team could be in the postseason. T-Bob kind of outlined the conference halfway point since 2014 and they were all pretty similar. I think we need to start seeing a similar turn around to what we saw those year minus last season.

I'm very much looking forward to this series. Especially with the unexpected returns of Reid and Watson!

The next two weekends will determine whether it's Paul Maul, or Pall Mall.

Did I hear something about FL hitting starting to get hot?

On OFB, I think.

Honestly don’t know what to expect.

Any late word on Hess?

We’re at the halfway point of the SEC schedule and 9-6. If we go at least 9-6 the last 5 series we should at least host a regional, this is a big series since were at home, can’t afford worse than taking 2

I've always been an optimist with LSU baseball. They usually put it together, to a certain extent.

I'm growing concerned. Nobody could have projected the injuries but they were not improving considerably before the injuries.

If we don't get 2 of 3 this weekend, even with the injuries, I will be really concerned. UF is a great matchup for us, especially at home.

Tigers win 2 of 3 or sweep. It might not be pretty, though. You just have to hope of 2/3 or sweep, plus health, propels this team through the home stretch and things start to click.

Hillard will start and you will likely see Hess out the pen.

I’ve started to get nervous about us overcoming the injuries and playing up to potential.

Not in panic mode but certainly nervous. Having a good weekend would certainly do a lot to settle those nerves

2 better than 9-6 gets you to 20-10 that's the magic number.

Really big opportunity this weekend.
