What say ye? I like the idea of using at least two backs. I know that Frank Wilson likes to use one main guy. What do you guys think?

I like the one horseman personally. Occassional sub so he can catch his breath but keep pounding the guy that's producing.

One main guy until he's ineffective. Could be fatigue or just a bad day but RBs require time to find a rhythm and RB by Committe kills that concept.

Our new RB coach used to yank guys on off like it was hot, when he was at ole miss. Got a feeling itll be more like a somewhat consistent rotation thats dependent on the situation or gameplan/playcall.

I still think we have 1 main horse who gets rested once or twice a possession, while 2 others come on and off

I say you primarily stick with one guy, especially if he is hot.
That really has pissed me off at Crowton/Miles at times. Back when we could run the ball, you would see a guy look outstanding on two or three runs, then he would sit the bench for a quarter or two.

Look at what Miami did last year:

Rushing Att Yds Avg TD
1. Graig Cooper 134 695 5.2 4
2. Damien Berry 93 616 6.6 8
3. Javarris James 103 492 4.8 6

I think that it could work. It also helps extend the health of the RB's in the longrun. IMO.

I like 1 main guy that gets all the important carries and then a 2nd guy who comes in occasionally to give the horseman a brake.

1st-75%
2nd-15%
3rd-10%

How do those stats indicate whether those 3 guys were the main back in a few games or rotated like a RB by Comm. scenario ?

Situational Committee but you have to be getting first downs so everyone gets the number of carries they need to be effective and rack up the points.

to be honest they I guess that they can't. I did watch them play last year though, and it did work for them. If anyone is wondering Craig Cooper was the main guy until he got hurt.
