Ideal: one back that can carry the load & get stronger as the game goes on.

Reality: SEC too tough for 1 back alone, so 2+ is more likely.

What we did in 03 and 07 was perfect Vincent and Hester were the main guys but 2-3 other guys still played alot

I think it should depend on in-game situation. But we should plan for one to get the majority of the carries with another RB spelling him frequently. See Ingram/Richardson at Bama, Tate/McCalleb at Auburn, or Hardesty/Brown at Tennessee for exaample.

A little of both. Look at what the Cowboys did this year with their three-headed monster of Marion Barber, Felix Jones, and Tashard Choice. Barber was the main guy, but Jones and Choice both played pivotal roles in their offense in certain situations.
