Brady left a better legacy. Although I'm not a fan, he made it to the final four, something we've only done two other times in our history.

Smoke, although he made it to a couple CWS, absolutely destroyed the baseball program.

If Brady would have done his recruiting homework in 06, he may still be here.

I don't think any other coach in NCAA history has ever had a program so set up for success when he arrived as Smoke. They went from the number 1 team in the nation to the #3 team in the state in like three seasons.

Brady did lower expectations and standards for Tiger basketball. So his legacy is more long lasting.

By that I mean, Brady was on the hot seat for going one and done in the NCAA's. Now we are excited about an NIT birth.

Brady hands down.

Smoke drove us into the ground.

Both universally hated.

Yep

Brady took a program in absolute ruins and returned it to mediocrity with some years of elite play mixed in.

Smoke took an elite program and drove it into ruins.

The basketball program was in infinitely better shape the first year after Brady than it was the last year before Brady. The same cannot be said of Old Mushmouth.

This is patently false. We made a tourney run with a Brady-built and -developed team in the first year after he was fired.

While John Brady was at LSU he was the worst coach in all of college basketball, no doubt in my mind.

I don't think there is any question about who was the better coach or what program fared better. But Smoke is erased from memory at this point. The basketball team, except for one year, has been completley marginilized.
