I am amazed how people just can't rank the players that are listed. OP didn't say the best ever, just said rank these players. Either rank these players or don't comment.

Wait until the ones that never saw Burrow play don’t include him on any list. Heads will explode.

This line of thinking makes Trent Dilfer a better NFL QB than Dan Marino.

Well, we’re talking about quarterbacks for LSU football & there’s a small number that have won a natty

Is Bob Griese better than Marino?

"People really putting Flynn over Russell lol. Grow up. Russell was an elite college QB." Matt Flynn was also an elite college QB as well as a national champ. Also a much better pro

I did not know Jamarcus’ completion percentage was so high. I sorta remember Saban and coaches being so frustrated with him not reading the plays and hitting wide open receivers that there were times they were ready to bench him for Flynn.

If there was EVER an example of holding out of training camp as a rookie destroying someone’s NFL career it has to be Jamarcus.

Jamarcus only played in games one season under Saban in 2004 as a RS FR. He split time with Marcus Randall. Flynn was the 3rd string quarterback and threw 10 passes all season. Not sure what you’re recollecting there.

I think what would be a very interesting exercise would be to rank them after Joe Burrow's junior year.

You left out
Bert Jones
Tommy Hodson

Both better than anyone on your list not named Burrow.

He completed 56.1% of his passes and had less than a 2/1 TD/Int ratio in his senior season. That’s nowhere near elite.

1.) Joe Burrow (NC)

2a.) Matt Flynn (NC)
2b.) Matt Mauck (NC)

(The 3 "Best" of the Non-NC QB's that could effectively pass the football)
* Zach Mettenberger
* JaMarcus Russell
* Rohan Davey

Jayden Daniels (Can't effectively and consistently throw the football)

Herb Tyler (Less talented version of Jayden Daniels)

Of course, the list is critically defective without the inclusion of Bert Jones and Tommy Hodson, who would be #2 and #3 right behind Burrow.........,

lol his NFL career was a flop because he was lazy. End of story. He gave zero effort once he signed his rookie contract.

Tittle and Jones were great pros, but statistically don't have great data in college based on the era.

Daniels could jump to 2-3 with a very good 2023, but I see him as disqualified until he gets a 2nd season at LSU.
