Are you referring to the SC coach who is only in his second year as a head coach and has won fewer than 75 games as a Div I college baseball coach???

But his players are so awesome, they make up for his lack of game management. Smaller and smaller

Why hasn't that time come in his first 30 years as a coach?

Where is your husband coaching these days, Mrs. Laval?

5. Mike Bianco, Ole Miss (13th Year)
4. Kevin O'Sullivan, Florida (7th Year)
3. Tim Corbin, Vanderbilt (11th Year)
2. Dave Van Horn, Arkansas (12th Year)
1. Paul Mainieri, LSU (7th Year)

Let's look at each of the top 5 coaches according to the OP.

if you don't think CPM is not #1 make your argument for one of these guys as #1.

Does anyone think it's possible that one year lsu could get lucky by getting good players that WANT jot play for lsu, not because of a coach? If recruiting is a big ideal in college ball please explain the draft to me... I'll be here all day

Corbin is literally the only one that has a case considering he has won more regular season SEC titles than Mainieri and has a better head-to-head record (13-6). But even then, Mainieri's postseason record/success is leaps and bounds better than Corbin that it's almost a wash.

Like all those players who get drafted and chose to go to college instead of MLB?

Explain why you think college baseball recruiting isnt a big deal. Did you not see a difference in talent and success from 2007 to 2008

This is a circular argument. The best players want to come and play at a program that contends for championships and where they will get exposure. Do you think the coach has no part in that?

What is there to explain? The top high school talent typically foregoes college to play in the majors just like the top high school basketball talent did. It has nothing to do with recruiting and everything to do with the rules that allow it to happen.
