Happens when it affects my “business”

Would be hilarious for players to immediately lose room and board as soon as they sit out a bowl game and sign with an agent.

Yep.....only LSU is allowed to make millions a year profit on football. Who cares if he gets hurt...i'm an LSU fan and we win at all cost.....sarcasm for the quick to react..

No players in the nfl get guaranteed contacts. The richest, biggest sports league in the world. Shameful.

I don’t believe you would if you were in his situation at his age.
It is always easy for grown men to say what they would have done at 20yrs old k owing they will never be in that situation in their life.

Totally agree. This is a character issue. These guys are selfish.

No they get paid to play in the NFL. That’s the difference.

Well except in contract situations like Lavern Bell where they are trying to leverage contracts

Some of these reactions are amazing. People still comparing college football for these kids to a business. I think the smart kids from Northwestern tried to prove it was and lost that fight so those comparisons are garbage.

People talking about character issues for these kids and bringing up Bell’s situation really have no clue. What Bell is doing is actually very similar in stance to these kids. Why should he risk injury this year with no guaranteed future contract. He lost out on what 12-14 mil but when he signs a multi year deal and half or more is guarantees that guaranteed money will be greater than whatever he was supposed to make this year. Before anyone comments on his lack of commitment remember THE NFL is actually a business and it’s in everyone’s best interest to make themselves more money. The owners the coaches, and yes the players.

As far as cutting room and board. Pretty sure the semester is over when they declare and they have moved on to wherever their new agent sent them to train for the draft. Lol

It doesn’t matter what people think. It only matters what his teammates think and what his coaches think and most importantly, what HE thinks is best for him.

No the same can’t be said dummy because NFL players get paid weekly during the season with incentives.
