You bustin' on Randy Shannon for being a Coordinator at UCF?

Certain Other people had a dogshit resume and a fricking binder and landed a nice job, so pretty sure Randy will be okay.

How is it not? It's the same thing that is happening with these players?

Because you're referencing a situation more similar to skipping senior year rather than 1 bowl game. 1 bowl game, that is even tied to the prior year according to enrollment rules.

Also, are you assuming that you or graduating soon at 22 years old or nearly 30? Just curious.

They made it to playoffs?

1,843 total yards and 13 TD’s, nonetheless on a bad team? What does making the playoffs have anything to with the point of the OP’s article?

Well the point was that players who sit out in college will sit out once they’re eliminated from the playoffs.

Has he sat out? Cause...

DEM SAINTS ELIMINATED THEM WEEKS AGO BABY!

This is an assumption made from ignorance. There isn’t even remotely enough data on the subject to reasonably draw this conclusion.

Not really. It's still the same situation.

Not sure why that would matter.

What would you do for your family vs what would you do for your team? Easy answer in my opinion.

Anyone who says they wouldn’t take the money is either A: lying or B: a terrible spouse and parent. You do what is in the best interest of your family first.

It's literally not the same situation in almost every way.

Because someone trying to milk an extra year in the NFL is far different than someone who actually isnt in a position to so that given NFL contract length.

What Alabama players are sitting out?

You mean the team that actually is playing for something significant?

Actually, hes not, and theres no way to argue he is objectively. He will never have a contract to that accounts for his losses.

Yeah because that’s the same thing.

I've been getting quite a good laugh out of people comparing necessary risks like driving and crossing the street to the unnecessary risk of playing in the bowl game.

Irrelevant.

Even if he didn’t currently have a family it would still be a wise decision to take the money for the family he may have in the future.

Actually it is very much the same. These players are preparing for the NFL. Playing in this one game isn't going to change the fact that they are now going pro and getting paid, but playing in the game makes the possibility of not playing in the pros more likely.

Still not sure how that is relevant to what I'm saying.

He finished the season. Anything after the A&M game is POSTSEASON.

He was sitting out to get a contract with guaranteed money. If he had played this past season and gotten hurt he would only be making this years salary. He wasn't going to take that chance, so he sat out until he can get a new contract with guaranteed money.

They are paid to play the games.

Then coaches should not be allowed to go to better programs for more money if they are still under contract with a school.
