Maybe not 30, but they played plenty and started a few. Playing a lot of freshman is nothing out of the ordinary for any major program. Guess it’s only a killer to LSU because O is the coach. How many of those 30 freshman started? Don’t bother posting the link-I won’t read it. The point is, not that many (started, that is) and certainly not overwhelmingly more that most other teams.

I will support the team and even O to the extent he is the coach we have right now even though I do not believe O is the right coach for LSU, but if O and company want to change fans minds this is the season that they should want. We have 7 potential top 20 or better matchups and 4 potential top 10 in Miami, Auburn, Georgia, and Bama. We play the 2 teams that were in the National Championship game at home and end the season in a big nationally televised game on thanksgiving against the coach that many thought we should have pursued harder. 10 regular season wins and we are in the playoff. Cant ask for a better setup than that.

You know, people often relate him to a used car salesman as an insult and I don't really see it that way. But, he really did pull a classic "bait and switch" on everyone.
Eta: Let me be very clear, I don't even necessarily think he did so on purpose. I just think he is an upbeat, high energy, rah rah guy and that sometimes he lets things get away from when trying to sell himself and the program. I really don't have that much of a problem with it. But, it does come back to bite him in the arse from time to time.
