Yep he was too lazy to find a new real story so he just kept his moral out rage story despite facts against him.

I’m not an O fan at all but he handled this right so far.

O had a chance to separate domestic violence and football.

Rabalais is correct O missed an opportunity by using “protect the team” line.

But Rabalais in dead wrong in expecting O to be good in press conferences on topics like this.

Social commentary isn’t his strength. Hell, cogent commentary in general isn’t his strength.

Expecting it from O is unfair.

As an ardent and long time O critic I must say I have no issues with what he said or with how he has tried to educate the team on this issue.

He probably did. He could have said "we will not tolerated domestic violence of any kind on this football team." But, I also understand not wanting to comment on an arrest that just occurred less than 24 hours prior to the question being asked.

Still, Orgeron's “protect the team” comment was, at the least, a poor choice of words. Especially in the wake of the Larry Nassar scandal

Holy shite.

Rabalais should be taken to task for this.

I’m talking in general not specific to Davis.

I thought it was a stretch anyway to expect him to share with the media his views. Protect your team doesn't necessarily mean he doesn't despise domestic violence, it can also mean a players poor decisions affect the entire team. You hurt other players ability to reach their dreams.

Should O also address the crime of “ being a getaway driver” ?
O did exactly what he should have, said it was a legal matter.
Wait until the actual facts are out, then make a comment in it.

Scott should stick to eating hotdogs, he’s good at that.

Yeah because coach O needs to be the one to publicly say that beating women is wrong. People who don't beat women don't need to hear that, and it's not like someone beating their wife or girlfriend right now is going to hear coach O and all of a sudden stop.

I swear we live in a society where we constantly have to state what side of the fence we're on, even when it's obvious.

The allegations were retracted. Doesn’t necessarily mean they were false.

Is Ed supposed to throw the guy under the bus before charges have been filed?

The allegations were retracted. Not necessarily false. If you can't think of a scenario why true allegations would be retracted in this context, wake up and stop being naive.

If there are hospital records of broken ribs and ripped ear lobe that meets the time line then it's probably true. If it's not true then the girl should be charged.

Rabalais has bitched about Saban, Miles, and Orgeron. At least he's consistent with being negative.
