Come on man.... they barely make money! Not enough to build a 40 million dollar stadium. Skip Bertman funneled the TAF money from football to pay for it. FACT!
But they do make money when you said they didn’t make any and I literally state in my post that there is no new baseball stadium without football.

Sounds like your ignorance has bitten you in the arse. The New Alex Box was paid for with TAF money the same way most LSU football projects are paid for. LSU baseball has operated in the black for quite a long time. Do your research. When I say LSU baseball operates in the black, my meaning is that the team covers all team related expenses and cost with money it earned itself. That’s not fan donations or TAF money. FYI, that is construed as operating “in the black”. Basketball also operates in the black; however, basketball would never generate the revenue necessary to pay off a new arena. That would be TAF money, same as for baseball and football and every other sport project at LSU. You do realize that the TAF is not just for football; right? TAF raises funds for all LSU athletic programs. TAF has zero relationship to annual revenue of any LSU sport.

Upgrade the current PMAC and paint a big eye on the roof and we are good!

LSU spent 40 million dollars to build a stadium for a sport (baseball) that makes no money. Build the damn new arena for the sport (basketball)that makes the second most money!

LSU baseball, one of the few baseball programs nationally to turn an annual profit, made a profit of $345,536 in 2018. That’s about $200,000 less than it had in 2017. The baseball team, which advanced to the NCAA regional championship series, made about $475,000 less in revenue in 2018. The Tigers received $61,801 in NCAA distributions in 2018 — far less than the $835,451 it hauled in during a run to the College World Series’ national championship series in 2017.
Baseball at LSU is a true championship program and has won more national titles in the last 30 or so years than any university in the country.

I don’t think we need to go Tad Pad small—I think this would make us the smallest venue in the SEC. I’d like to see 10,500 to 12,000.
I’m all for demolishing the old PMAC, which is hands down the ugliest building on campus and that includes the Middleton library, but when they rebuild I’d like it see it in a different location, and turn the old PMAC location into an open air gathering space/plaza of sorts.

Luxury seating is the name of the game. Houston's basketball ticket sales went from under 350K in 2018 to 1.1 mill in 2019 after they renovated the Fertitta Center. That was due to adding 700+ premium seats to their arrangement, even though the overall capacity dropped by about 1300 seats. It will undoubtedly cost alot of money to get where we want to go, but the return is proven.

we don’t need a new arena. Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, etc play in old buildings.
It’s not the arena, it’s the product in the floor that draws fans.

Rupp is the same age as the PMAC I think. Cameron and Allen are much older like the 1940’s and 50’s.

That's only ticket sales numbers specifically. Doesn't include the funding donations to initially secure the suite, yearly lease on the suite, the built in pricing for food/beverages, etc.

Rupp is currently in the process of a 300+ mill renovation project. Should be completely wrapped at the end of 2021.
