To make a real long story short, our flight got canceled. We were gonna go to OMAHA for a game or two and come back but but our flight was cancelled bc of weather. …so we had a choice … drive ir just turn around go home (we didn’t have tickets)

well nine days later we make it home me and my 12 yr son
I didn’t wanna spend that much money but at the end of the day it’s only money the experiences we had together as father and son and to top it off we WON is something that can’t put a price on.

I guess all I’m saying is it was the best money I ever spent. One best weeks of my life … and I didn’t really wanna spend it… till I did.

Don’t put off tomorrow. What you can do today. Especially with people you love.

My boss (who heads up the Auburn Coaches Committee), told me on Thursday that “experiences are the only things that matter”. Flew out with my wife and son’s family on Friday morning. Same takeaway as you…

I’ve been twice with my son, and I wouldn’t trade those memories of watching the Tigers win a title not once, but TWICE, with my son, for anything else.

By far the best credit card debt I’ve ever accrued lol.

Tried to explain that to my ex wife ( no pics). She thinks I have all this money…. No I just spend my money on doing cool things with my daughter(7). Hog for a cause, Lainey Wilson, bunch of LSU basketball games (5-7 rows from the bottom), other concerts etc. Those moments will last forever.

I don’t understand how they have empty seats at this game with Oklahoma so close
Once in a lifetime deal to see your team win a title

I live in Kansas, so it's a bit easier of a trek, but I've taken my son to each of the last 2 games vs UF and vs CCU.

It's as memorable of 2 days as we have together. Hope there's many more. I like the every other year trend.

As soon as the ball bounces off the piggies shoulder I started looking at tickets.. I picked the cheapest ticket I could find in the outfield (thank god I didn’t get them). I show my wife my phone and jokingly asked “we going”? She looked at me and smile then said “ I just bought seats on row 20 behind the plate”.. it was an expensive trip but it was something we can always say we got to see..

Not quite as dramatic, but similar. Both our kids are at LSU. Wife wanted to go in 2023 when one was freshman and other a sophomore. Couldn't make it work. As soon as we beat UCLA Tuesday morning to get in to game with Arky, she booked a ticket to KC for Wednesday afternoon. I got home from work, packed my bags and headed north in the car.

Stopped sometime after midnight in North Arkansas at a hotel. Drove into KC, picked her up about 2 pm Wednesday. Got to Omaha about 1 hr before first pitch. Picked up SRO tickets, and watched the Tigers beat arky. As soon as we won, we booked 1 way tickets for the kids to KC. We paid like $300 a piece and by the time we made it back to hotel the same flight was like $800.

Drove back to KC on Thursday night to pick them up. Had 7 other friends drive up Friday. All 11 of us hung out, watched the Tigers win the NC, and partied all weekend. Second time I had been, but first for the wife and kids. Epic experience no matter the cost.

I had some friends and family over to watch game 1 of the finals that Saturday evening. I wanted to go to Omaha last year but we had a Disney trip with the family the week prior, so it was too much in a short time frame and I decided not to go.
Anyway, we had a good time during the game and I was feeling pretty good. It ended and I told everyone, if we leave now we can get there with plenty of time before the game tomorrow. They laughed and I said no, I'm serious. I have a company vehicle and a gas card that I'm allowed to use for personal use. My wife chimed in and said to go and she would use points to book us a hotel room.
So my cousin and I hopped in my company car at 10PM and headed north. He was driving since I had been drinking.

That was a trip for the memory books for sure. Had a great time and will never forget it. That was also my first time going to Omaha.
We made it to Roccos at 10AM, put down our first round of jello shots, and the rest is history.
Needless to say, we were absolutely exhausted by the end of the day.

Ticket prices were $300+ a piece and i brought my family of four, and we were there the entire time.

Yes, my credit card bridged that gap between that CWS and the next few months of paychecks. I’m a normal American, shoot me.

I'm in debtors prison currently for falling delinquent on a loan to attend the CWS.

Still got to see LSU tho.
