The stadium for the cap 1 bowl is a POS and its in a terrible part of town, nowhere near anything. I will not be attending if LSU is in the cap 1 bowl but if they go to the cotton my arse is there, Geaux Tigers!

We made up our minds after going to the 2004 Capital One Bowl that we'd never go back. It's a crappy stadium and the hotel staff (yes we stayed at the team hotel) was understaffed and treated our chartered group pretty much like we were a nusciance for being there. As a result of our 2004 experience, we spared ourselves another letdown last year by not going to watch the game on that pathetic field. Even with artificial turf, I'm done with the Capital One Bowl. For the record, the Capital One Bowl is the only one we didn't select. We'll go anywhere else the Tigers go with the exception of the Cap One.

I'm 31, and not sure what age has to do with crowds. Christmas Day and New Year's Day are notorious for being the single most crowded days at Disney World. I'd rather go when it isn't so crowded. This has more to do with the Cap One Bowl just being shitty overall...the Disney stuff is just the tip of the iceberg.

I live in Orlando and went to both games of course. Last year just sucked. I will of course go but, I would prefer Dallas.
I will not make the trip to Dallas but, I think it is an excellent matchup and a great opportunity to train for the Oregon game in 2011.

I went in '04. Stayed at the Holiday Inn on International Drive. It's a dump - avoid it like the plague. Other than Sea World the entire trip sucked. Will never go back again.

Just think last year had Ole Miss went to the Cap One and LSU and Les had played his old school. We would have lit up that porous Cowboy defense and Ole Miss would have had 7 turnovers against Penn State. Weather and location play a large factor with bowls.

The weather did suck last year. A rare occurence but it does happen. Personally I would prefer the Cap 1. Yes,I live in South Florida, but there is soooo much more to do in Orlando vs. Dallas. I get it, most of the posters here want to go to Dallas.

Last year was unusual for Orlando. They resoded the field 2 weeks before the bowl games, but the weather was too cold for the grass to root.
As far as the staduim. Yes it is old, but it is small so there are no bad seats.
I stayed at the Sheradon in Orlando. Very nice staff. Had a shuttle to the game. Took Rick Shaws every where else.
They have nice places to hang out and eat. There is lots to due besides Disney. We stayed 5 days and had a blast. I am both an LSU and Penn St fan so I could not lose.

Well, we are two people who will never, never, ever again attend the Cap One bowl, even if the Tigers are playing for the national championship there!! Those people need to build a new stadium if they want a major bowl. That place sucks!!

It's not like Jerry world is in a fun area. The fun is pretty far from the stadium there as well.

The Sugar Bowl could be more like the Cap One.
You could play the game in City Park Stadium and route all of the gameday traffic through the lower 9th ward.
Give out all of the old Hibernia bank scratch pads left over from the sale as bowl favors and hand out SRO passes to Pat O'Briens.
You'd never know you weren't at the Crap One.

I probably would not go.
The weather was terrible, but not the reason that pushed me over the edge.
The stadium was small and cramped, but whatever...I've dealt with much worse. I go to a stadium for the game, so it has to suck pretty bad for me to be pissed.
I stayed near International Drive, and that place was a fricking madhouse. The traffic was unreal. It would take an hour+ to go a couple of miles at the wrong time of day. The people I encountered were pretty much assholes all around.
I would go back, but not this year...not worth a 24 hour drive for me.

I was at Cap1 last year, as well. I have read there were many improvements done to the stadium during the year, not just to the playig surface but also to the concourse and other fan areas. Supposedly these changes were not trivial.
I would go back.

Went last year and in 2004. No, I'm tired of the crappy stadium, crappy field, crappy part of Orlando. It sucks. I prefer the Cotton Bowl largely because of a top notch stadium.
