can't be that. It took 2 yankees to give us 2 NC's this decade.

yea, but Nick was their daddy and told them to "shut up and go stand in a corner", and they did it...just like the bammers. Miles tried to make friends with them.

He's not Nick Saban.

this was decided early on, and made official after the Katrina Tennessee game. for 6 years now they've been saying Miles would run the program into the ground. even in 2007, on the way to winning the NC, they were calling Miles a loser for not winning the NC in 2006.

so in 2008, when we started to stumble because we had no QB (just as Saban did in 2004 when Marcus Randall was at QB) they could feel their moment coming, when they could yell "I TOLD YOU SO!"

unfortunately for them, we never bottomed out. were not on probation (butch davis), were not losing to jacksonville st (nutt). none of us are happy about the last two years, but even when we "suck", we're in new years day bowl games. and since hes recruited at a consistent top 5 level, they know we can be very very good again. we can win the SEC, we can win the NC.

which would mean they've been saying all this dumb shite for no reason, for 6 years. they have so much invested in being right, they're going insane at this point. so now, EVERYTHING Miles does must be wrong.

if he plays upperclassman he sucks because we're wasting our talented freshman. if he plays freshman he sucks because, "why aren't the upperclassman good enough to play? why haven't they developed under Miles?"

I just pray that whenever Miles leaves the team, whether he quits, is fired, or retires, that the man who follows him has balls of steel. For the shite that Miles has gotten for following Saban and putting up the winning percentage that he has, imagine being the guy that has to follow Saban and Miles.

I actually liked this about Nick. He kind of coached the fans too. Told them how to act and what their role was. His scolding of the LSU fans for the Catastrophe Syndrome was so spot on.

It's not Les Miles... these folks would hate ANYONE who is head coach for more than a few years and does not have a near perfect record with multiple championships.

You know- that's a VERY good point that I seriously doubt very many have even considered.

If that were to happen, to what standard would he be held??? I don't give a damn who you are- winning the amount of games LSU has under Miles is a tough thing to accomplish in that amount of time.

Some think they are smarter than him because he doesn't have great public speaking skills. Obviously this is a dumb criticism.

We have fans who would suck Saban's dick if he asked.

We have fans that don't understand what Miles has actually accomplished since being a Tiger.

If you sat through the Hallman and Dinardo days like I did, it makes it hard to bash Miles or Saban. That was a rough time to be an LSU fan. Although, it was the best time to buy season tickets too.

another reason is people hate it that LSU isn't the main team in the sec west anymore.

Why isn't LSU the "main team in the SEC West" anymore?

Carrol's gone to the NFL. He didn't have to put up with it because he went to BCS games virtually every year.

Mack heard it a ton before winning the title and still hears it to this day.

Tressel again goes to BCS games virtually every year.

Stoops again goes to BCS games virtually every year. Then promptly loses.
