I'm not trying to lead a sladerous argument here. I'm trying to lead a logical argument. The people on this board throwing out claims of sacred burial gounds, and also the ones mocking people for being rednecks and what not have yet to make any sensible argument.

I agree!

The burden of proof is on them!! And Until then, I will slide my butt down any hill I so desire.

quote:

Explain to us how it determined all ill effects are caused by kids on slides.

Debate all you want, but I fer one don't need proof.

I'mma do it anyway.

Come and git me biotches!!
global warming is the devil.

Jus sayin.
quote:

I will never understand the fuss about children not being allowed to slide down those mounds.

It's a slippery slope - and I ain't talking bout them injun hills.

If'n we don't stop these commy pinkos now, we will shoorley regret it later.

I fer one am gunna take my bride Erleane and all 13 of my yung's to them fckin hills tomorrow morning. We're gunn a plant a rubel flag at the top, sing dixie, and cook a pig in the ground!
quote:

I dump my damn beans wherever the frick I want to. My tax dollars pay them criminals to clean it up.

Yup. And don't even git me started on the prisoners. If it weren't for the charity we display by spewing our shite here and yonder, there would be absoloutely no hooch or contraband in jail.

Now if we could just git a travelin chain gang to follow us to road games, that would be ideal.

quote:

Bunch of yuppies

This!

I'm wit ya Jethro.

It's the homo-lovin', tree-huggin, conservation-nazis that are absolutely KILLIN the joy that I derive from trashin the LSU campus.

quote:

They should let them dig. frick it.

Next time I go to the stadium I'm gonna rip out my chair back and take it home. I might chip out a few bricks from the stadium too, It's my right.

I hear ya, Bubba!

And if we don't stand up to these pussies now it's gonna get compeletly outta hand.

Can you beleive that some jackass had the balls at last Saturday's game to suggest I shouldn't be pissing on the side of building??

I refuse to sit back and let them commies rob us of our fine suthern truditions.
quote:

I have never seen anybody digging into the ground with shovels or by hand. Nobody said anything about shovels

Why not - you sum kinda liberal pussy er something? Let them chillens do what they want.
quote:

Of course, I AM asking a lot. One of the south's few Land/Sea Grant institutions, and there's nobody there that can seem to get fricking grass to grow properly.

Perhaps it's because the agronomy department is selecting for the wrong traits (i.e. denisty, vigor, growth rate).

They clearly should be selecting a bermuda or st. augustine that exhibits vomit-hardiness.
quote:

Boooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!

It's not even a burial ground. The Indians used to use the mounds as high ground to check if the banks from the Mississippi River had been overflowed. So the mounds have been around for 1000s of years, and we think that kids sliding down them are tearing them up? Funny, I've been coming to LSU's campus for over 30 years and they look the same to me. Go hug a tree in Berkely.

Let the kids play!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree - let them young'ns bring shovels, too. They might find some cool trinkets!
quote:

We conquered the Indians.

Partying and dancing on their graves is part of the spoils of war.

OK, I gotta admit - this was pretty funny!
quote:

I remember that tailgating in 1907 was so much more refined...

I too, was a dapper young college freshman that year.

Sis boom Bah!
quote:

After meeting with LSU archaeologists and anthropologists this week, the administration decided to erect temporary fencing that would be removed after each football game day.

They better post a policeman and be prepared for a war, because there are a lot of jack-holes who will deliberately ignore that fence.

Afterall, it's their god-given right to do whatever the hell they want at LSU on gameday.

Many of them are still pissed that they had to stop parking on the roots of the live oaks.

Next thing you know there will be rules that require litter to be contained.

They'll claim it's all part of the "Pussification of Amerika!"

quote:

I care who plays QB but I will support whoever is behind center.

Good policy.
quote:

Tailgating IS their life. It's "Pedal to the Metal" for those 7 home games a year and however many away games they attend. Obsessive-Compulsive NEED to drink before, during and after the game too. Can't do anything even remotely related to the game sober. That's against Louisiana Neanderneck policy. Trash the home and away campus. Doesn't matter. Bayou State slob/pigs don't give a shite about anything but their own pleasure and amusement....

I think this is true for about 38% of our fan base. The remaing 62% are little more mature and considerate.

Problem is, the immature jerks (of all ages) seem to be increasing in number.

quote:

hopefully our fans are smart enough to pick up their own trash while visiting other campuses.

Most probably are - but there's always the tools that could care less about their own mess.
quote:

Better than having to buy wrapping paper and world's greatest chocolate!

Yeah, that whole wrapping paper thing is a scam.

The chocolate I like, especially the covered almonds.
The LSU Tailgaters at Vandy probably left the same mess they leave here.

Perhaps the prisoner clean-up crew should follow them to road games.
And so, in summary...

pundit
excoriated
screeds
deficiencies
eviscerating
ineptitude
efficacious
paternalistic
Gestapo
frick

Actually, this fan run website is the perfect place to bitch and moan. Ditto for talk radio (the only organized public forum we had before the Internet). Fine and dandy, bitch all you want. And I'll dish it right back to you while defending your right to rant. But booing at our players and coaches during the game is ridiculous. I don't remember anyone booing our own team during Stovall's struggles back in the 80s and if you had, you probably would have gotten your arse kicked. Nobody dresses up in Tiger Stadium anymore either... I realize times have changed but there once was a time when people went to the game to show their SUPPORT and not to vent their rage at the players and coaches.

I agree.
quote:

Passion is great when its exercised with some common sense which we didn't do last Saturday night.

We, the LSU fans, screwed up and our demonstration of poor sportsmanship we directed toward our own got picked up by TV and broadcast to the college football world.

We can now go into any cya mode we wish, but it's really pretty hard to explain away such a display of jerk like behavior.

I would suggest we just take the whipping like a man and try to see that it doesn't happen again, but I think some of us still don't get it.

Damn straight!
