sounds like he’s got a really big social media following making him an influencer and in todays world that is how you advertise your brand so LSU let him behind the scenes and onto the sidelines to advertise their brand this weekend. It’s just how you advertise to kids and therefore recruits in this day and age. Net positive, don’t think any harm was done

Don’t disagree, but for what it’s worth, his reaction to the Nation Anthem & fly over was pretty awesome.

I guess I am officially old now. I am about the age that my dad stopped going to LSU games.
Background info:
White Male
Mid 40's
Grew up in BR
My family has had season tickets since 1983
Between myself and my family we have donated $50k+ over the last 40 years
I realized about halfway through the game Saturday night that I don't enjoy going to games anymore. The demographics of the crowd outside the stadium have changed, The amount of cursing and vulgar language I heard was off the charts. Real nice atmosphere for my son and his friend. Inside the stadium I have to say the light show is actually pretty cool. When they played certain songs I used to at least recognize them, even if it wasn't my cup of tea. Now I have no idea what the hell they are. Seeing influencers get VIP treatment that have no connection to LSU other than to put a jersey on and make content for their channel seems a little bit like selling out.
All that to say I will always be a Tiger fan, and will always watch them, but probably won't be making any more games. I am no longer the demographic LSU is trying to reach, which is sad because my demo (40-60 males) are the ones who are footing the bill for all this nonsense. Social media and SeatGeek have changed the crowd in and around the stadium, and IMHO it is for the worse. I know it's not a popular opinion.
This sums up my attitude looking around during the game:

To sum it up, kids watch this dude play video games and act like a jerkoff basically? And he’s famous for that? Wow. Good on him for making money on it but that’s ridiculous

He passed our tailgate too with a huge crowd of youngsters with him all holding up their cameras. I weep for our future.

He didn’t call the baby gay. He said whoever move first is gay. And then got excited afterwards and screamed causing the baby to cry. He was very apologetic.

It's definitely good for branding but you know the "old farts" and their traditions are not going to be fond of a kid walking around with a camera bringing notoriety to the campus. And you wonder why the state's so freaking behind time and no one wants to move there.

And he didn’t get security to stop the father from doing anything. He actually stopped security from intervening while he was apologizing to the father.

Regardless of how you feel about it. Its a huge deal for young athletes when influencer type people want to be associated with the LSU brand. These big time college recruits want the chance to grow their own brand and this is simply done by being in videos and around these type of people. My 11 year old has no idea who Leonard Fournette is but knows exactly who Kevin Gates, Livvy and Speed are. The 5* OT committed to Oregon seemed to be star struck and having a awesome time.

My 17 and 15 year both asked me if I heard “speed was at LSU” this weekend. One yesterday, one asked today. It’s a thing evidently - we’re in North Carolina.

This scumbag got in a random baby in a stroller face and said” say hi and your gay” a few times then screamed in the baby’s face and made me cry , then got his security to stop the father from doing anything, yeah he is def someone you want to associate with . Great job
I’m not going to call you a liar…but I don’t believe this happened.
Im not a fan of his but this kids livelihood is based on people watching his stuff. Why do something as pointless and stupid as this and risk all that.
He also streamed his entire day at LSU so that should be on there and I feel like it would be plaster across the internet.
