I wasn’t able to hear booger but I caught a lot of RC when I got home. He handled it all well.

quote:If he said that, then he's stupid as hell. You cannot compare an athlete to first responders. Lol Injuries happen in sports, that's just the way it is and has always been. But they don't happen all of the time, but first responders are people that are putting their lives on the line all of the time. I mean they are gambling with death all of the time, there's no comparison. But I've always said that Ryan Clark talks to hear himself, dude just has way too much mouth and espn allows him to dribble on.
Clark's attempt at comparing football players to first responders as far as putting their lives on the line when they go to work was fricking typical Clark and very tone deaf. Dude just talks too fricking much.

He was mostly fine but he had some real bullshite thrown in to an already tragic situation.

Truth.
Of the 3 people in that studio, he noticeably stood out with his composure.

Boog did a much better job than RC.
RC was on with SVP after making it seem like NFL players are grossly mistreated by teams and the league starting in CFB. He was being very dramatic, IMO.

I got that he talked about first responders doing jobs that are dangerous and talked about football as a game that is ultimately entertainment for fans, but it is a very dangerous and violent game. That is all I got of it.
Except for the fact first responders make $80,000 a year and football players make 18million a year. If you can’t see how dumb his statement is you’re retarded

Booger represented what we all know, that this is unprecedented.
Clark was initially dramatic saying that players risk death to play the game
Which is it
I turned it off after Clark’s opener w SVP

Not a fan of Ryan Clark. I think he’s racist.

Booger was fine as always, but Ryan Clark immediately made it about himself and then doubled down by shitting on LSU and Dinardo.
The hell you say!

Cecil Collins vs Vandy
I think RC said it was an ACL injury so it wasn’t Cecil. I think Cecil broke his leg.

Yes he fricking did! Clark will shite on LSU as fast as the opportunity presents itself. He is a look at me drama queen. frick Ryan Clark!

What Dinardo did was nothing in comparison to what Saban did in Miami as he basically stepped over a player having a seizure in the Miami Ops facility.
I’m sure the LSU player was being attended to by the medical staff, and the injury wasn’t life threatening, so practice continued.

Schefter made a bloviating fool of himself and Kolber was too dumbstruck to know what to do, but Boog was the height of professionalism. I was beyond impressed with the humanity he showed and the way he articulated what was on his heart. Proud he’s a Tiger

Ryan Clark should never be given credit for anything.

He literally changed the topic to something completely different that he experienced in his youth during a practice.
You don’t think that’s making it about himself ?

I gave Ryan Clark a chance and listened, and as soon as he started rambling on and comparing football to running into a burning building I switched channels.
And whaddya know? CNN had a heart doctor as guest. Hours before Twitter began showing comments from real doctors, the CNN guy (Dr. Reiner) was saying the incident had all the earmarks of commitido cardis -- blunt force trauma to the heart area at precisely the wrong time.
My point is, when real news happens like that, ESPN needs to realize that it replaced all of its real news people with the likes of Stephen A Smith, Max Kellerman, Wilbon, Clark, Pat McAfee...
ESPN should have turned over its telecast to ABC News.
Instead, we had a parade of ex-players and media pontificators (Bob Costas?!!! WTF?!) who had nothing to add to the tragic situation.
Booger set the proper tone, at least.
