Pitcher was a huge douche with an AWFUL tattoo arm sleeve and talked a lot of shite so he deserved some shite talk back to him when he got his tits ripped.

shite talk happens all the time without guys getting tossed that’s why I had a problem with what Beau did, get your big knock talk that shite and stare him down when you get to first base and while he’s walking off the field getting yanked.

I see Beau as being the calm senior leader that this club needs especially with the injuries we are battling so it was sort of selfish to get tossed after gaining all that momentum but it all worked out in the end with the big Tigers win. This just adds another hilarious story and visual in a long line of them in LSU history

His replacement went 1-1 with a double, a walk, 2 runs (one of which was the game winner). Y’all can stop with this “he hurt the team” narrative.

If by "up the middle" you mean "a line drive to left field" I agree!

The ball went directly over the mound. It barely missed the pitcher.

That was STUPID you mean. We need him on the field and in the lineup

At that exact moment it was exactly what the team needed. Now he should sit tomorrow for sure but I can’t hold that against him.

Game was already tied, BTW. Wasn't game tying hit

All was good until the finger. That was selfish and over the top

Give you a good example of the way to handle it. Altuve gets showed up Game 2 by Kahnle by yelling WHAT 3 times on way to dugout after K'ing him in ALCS

Game 7 Altuve hits oppo HR off Kahnle, rounds bases, gets in front of dugout toward crowd and yells BOOM 3 times. Never faces Kahnle, but gets his point across

Next time up first pitch is at his head from Robertson. He taps his chest like, my bad, but everyone knew what was up.

I'm not mad, upset, or disappointed in Beau, but I recognize that he unnecessarily crossed the line in a selfish manner.

That pitcher was pissing me off and I can certainly understand why Beau was fed up with this douche but I also feel a stare down without the finger would have been best. Have to try keep your emotions in check.

You’re right. Hunter tied it up. But Beau still got the hit to end the pitchers night. Good enough.

Man, those kids have been playing ball together since high school. If my boy stared me down in the first AB and then I punked him with an RBI to get him knocked out of the game, I would have given a hello finger as well. It's all in fun. Kids are kids, nothing more

You guys are so sensitive

Altuve doesn’t have the stones that beau has.

I was at the game. He hit a line drive between and above short and third that the left fielder got to on one hop.

Here is the scoring summary description for the bottom of the eighth inning from "LSU Live Stats":

quote:

Jordan, Br. singled to left field, 2 RBI

LINK

Eta:You're thinking of Beau's hit when he gave the finger to the pitcher on his way to first.

There's a lot those 2 don't have in common. LOL

But I pull for both of them

He's referring to Beau's not Bryce's, I think

On twitter it says that Beau and the pitcher were on the same travel team for years.

Br. stands for Bryce. It was Beau that got thrown out and it was before the 8th inning.

Yes I am. Had no idea anyone was talking about the other hit.

I've never claimed to be the smartest man in the world, but claim to not be the dumbest.

That would make for an even juicier story, but doesn't really affect how the situation should have played out

You want to see your guy get his point across and still manage to take the high road

Now if they had the same girlfriend at the time, now the story really gets good. LOL

This is the post I replied to when I said Bryce's hit was to left field, not up the middle.

quote:

On a lighter note, I liked when the crowd later in the game was shouting, with Bryce at bat, "Hit one for Beau" !!! And Bryce proceeded to drill a single up the middle.
