I'm with you there, but as fans, we see this team way more often than most outside observers, and therefore see more flaws. It's easier to be critical when you watch a team play 40 games instead of 4.

Here's a link to a story about Shane Benes' recovery from his knee injury. He's a good player, once healthy he's going to be a force in the SEC.

ETA: Benes uncle Alan was on the 1991 Creighton CWS team that was on the other side of the bracket from LSU. That team also had former Mainieri assistand Brian O'Connor.
