Preseason Rankings - I don't get the lack of respect for Aranda

I get it for Orgeron. He still has a very thin and not so hot resume as a head coach but we are paying Aranda 2.5 million for a reason.

For the talking heads that didn't rank us in the top 25, apparently, they haven't done their homework on this.

Aranda single handily will have our defense ready to win every single game and we will be in everyone because of him. The 6-6 crowd is laughable.

From a national perspective we lost a lot of starters and the schedule looks brutal. They respect him but it’s tough to feel confident overall.

Defense was a given. Absolutely no one knew what the offense was going to look like. We put everyone on notice with Game 1.. I'm not worried about what our pre-season ranking was. Just need to keep winning.

If you were an objective voter - how would you have ranked them based on Ensminger (hasn't been a full time OC in 20 years), QB who had never taken significant snaps, and unproven RBs and WRs? We were ranked where we should have been.

Bingo.
Aranda will be no better than Orgeron will permit him to be.
which is exactly the same position Canada was in...
People get it.

Maybe the last impression vs ND was hard for some to work through. I would have put them at 18, 25 is casting a blind eye to the talent level of the team. Maybe some of it was coming out of spring ball with no leader at QB and the schedule. Still a fan of waiting 5 games before any rankings occur, would be much fairer to the teams who are greatly underestimated by the pundits.

Hey, Orgeron goes to .500 as a head coach with a win this weekend.

I'm still pissed about the Troy abortion last year, but O is trending upward and I'm impressed with the skull dragging we gave Miami. Yes, I give both the staff and players credit for that.

I Made the Same Argument Last Week

Yet many on here even told me I was wrong and the only thing that matters is the Head Coach. So if LSU fans aren't even smart enough to see, you can't expect the lazy national media to see it.

And after rereading that thread, I was damn prescient!!!

Early in game U was running good yardage off our right defensive tackle. Aranda made adjustments & it stopped. Only other weakness I saw was our DBs against U deep throwing OB, in 4th quarter. He'll get that problem solved quick. Miami's WRs were very good.

The media wants someone on the hot seat in the conference. There were 6 new coaches in the SEC last year. Bama, GA, Auburn and SC aren’t changing staffs. That leaves Vandy, KY and LSU. No one gives a shite if Vandy or KY fires their coach. Trying to create a Buzz. Fake news!!

Same here. Hell, Half our fan base expected disaster, but overlooked the defense

So basically our team for the past 15 years and we have finished with an average ranking of 13?

Outside of one Mettenberger season, our offense has been sluggish for 13 years. That wasn't the reason

I'm in TOTALLY in agreement that he's not worthy of any recognition!!

Hope people continue to give him little notice .... Don't waste time on him.

I think the fact that Miami was No. 8 shows how uninformed poll voters are and how meaningless rankings are this time of year.

So you're saying Orgeron only allows perfection from his assistants?

No wonder Canada left. He sucked a whole bushel of dicks.

Is this a joke? It must be a joke. '06, '07, '08, '11, the latter half of '12. Why do you make shite up?

Most of '15 as well.

I've noticed you never actually say anything when you're shown to be wrong. Keep it up.
