Sidenote, UNC is hiring Mike Malone. This is a reminder to all of the "LSU can do better than Wade/LSU should force (insert unrealistic big name coach here) to say no" crowd that the splash hires from other power conf. schools don't happen all that often in basketball. In the last two years both Kentucky and North Carolina have held coaching searches. BOTH ended up having to settle for their 4th, 5th, 6th (who knows?) option after being turned down by big name coaches at other schools. And that is two of the most history and resource rich programs in the nation.
Is Wade the best HC in college basketball? No.
