re: Predict LSU Football team's record this year..... with reasoning (if you like)

A few things...
-- Bama lost more players to the NFL than LSU. And many of LSU's losses were already absorbed because we lost them after fall practice (Mathieu, Faulk, wing missed some time, both running backs).
-- Montgomery, Mingo, and Reid were not that great for us last year. Especially Reid, who spent way too much time looking for highlight reel plays. But neither of our stud DE's really generated a ton of pressure. As great as their talent is, their production won't be THAT hard to replace.
-- Mett got a lot better in the second half of the year. His numbers improved greatly, and that's before a system change, which we needed.
-- We played a ton of freshmen last year, which should pay dividends this year.
I think LSU goes 13-1 with a loss to wither UGA or A&M. We're beating Bama this year. Let's hope it matters.

11-2. We win some shitty bowl game after being passed over by other SEC teams we beat while playing a much harder schedule.

13-1 loss to UF in regular season with a win in the SECCG rematch.
Title win over an over-hyped, undefeated and outmatched, Ohio State.

8&5 with our schedule & the lose of the defense!

13-0 or 14-0 (How many games are there?)

I was about to be positive and post this, but then I would have to be negative around the "mulligan factor".
Even if our team improves, there is no way we beat Bama twice in a season. Never.
Of course, I don't think they could beat us twice either, but fortunately for them, all they have to do is win the first time in November to eliminate us.....or watch us lose another game because our schedule is 3-4X more difficult.

I would absolutely love this unless our 1 loss is to an undefeated A&M. Then it would still be good but fricking suck.

Offense better, defense youg but blazing fast, fast makes up for mistakes. So we win all we should split with Bama and Ags. Season revolves around UF who we beat, and UGA which is a toss up.
11-1.....by 10th game we set team records in turnovers created.

9-3.
We lost too much on defense and the schedule is brutal, with 4 loseable games (UGA, FL, Bama, A&M) and 3 other tough ones (TCU, Ole Miss, Arky). I just don't see us getting through that schedule without losing 3.

8-4 with a loss in the Music City Bowl. Chavis does well with what he has. Offense improves a bit, but the lack of creativity (Miles offense and Chavis defense are older and more stale now) and overall lack of team discipline under Miles will allow the teams that have that edge in discipline to win out over us. Another decent year in recruiting will yield another 10 win season in '15. More of the same from Miles/Fulmer...

9-4
tough schedule especially on road
young defense that will make some mistakes and play inconsistent
Mississippi schools better than usual (we lose to one)
of course if cams offense is hitting on all cylindersfrim game 1, it can overcome the defense mistakes and I will say 10-3 or maybe 11-2. But we lose 2 or more in regular season.

13-1.
We lost a lot of players on defense, but Chavis also played a substantial amount of underclassmen. I don't expect Cameron to start calling out of this world plays, but you will see a much smarter, well oiled machine.
I think our only loss will be to Georgia and that's only because it's an early game and we make one or two critical mental mistakes. We will beat Bama and I don't expect A&M to be anywhere near the same team this year.
We avenge our loss to UGA in the Georgia Dome and then head to Pasadena to dismantle Ohio State.

Tough road schedule and inexperience front four will be an issue. I'm also not going to jump the gun on what OC Cameron will do with this offense.

Won't lose UF or AtM @ home!, More like UGA and Gumps, maybe OM!

C'mon shun. The schedule is tough but I think it sets up well. Tcu is gone be the tell. Georgia might
be an L because it's an away game. No way they drop
both games to Florida and that garbage team from
Texas. Bama is a toss up. So 10 and 2 again.

14 and 0.
Feels like start of 2011 did, except we have an incredibly successful OC that meshes with Miles. This season's schedule is tough, but I would say 2011 ooc was worse. Oregon , WVU. We get UGA which could be bad, but they lost a lot of talent too.
