13-1 with a possible loss against Arky, or Ole Miss. Everyday I think about how Cameron will be installing the uptempo/no huddle offense and additions like Brazil, Leslie, and Dural to the field will make our offense even more rangy and explosive. Also the OL being one year experienced and have the full attention of Stud.

Our defense will be good enough(top 20) to stay in every game because offensively we'll be running 75-85 plays a game instead of 65. We were #85 in total offense(yards) and #58 in scoring offense in 2012. In 2011 we were #57 in total offense and #17 in scoring offense. Don't sleep on Cam Cameron because he'll make a world of difference.

UGA has Clemson and South Carolina before us.

Florida offense will be better but it's in our house and we will be the better overall team.

Bama will be another bout but our uptempo offense will be too much for Saban to handle.

I think we lose in a high scoring affair against Ole Miss or Bielema with Arky.

Win against USCe in SECCG and face tOSU, Oregon, or rematch against Clemson in final BCS Championship Game.

2010 LSU vs Alabama 24-21 W 433 yards
2010 LSU vs Ole Miss 43-36 W 470 yards

2012 LSU vs Alabama 17-21 L 435 yards
2012 LSU vs Ole Miss 41-35 W 427 yards

We could beat Bama by a touchdown then go and win or lose a high scoring affair against Ole Miss.

When Ole Miss has a good dual threat QB it hurts us and we've had to win shootouts. Also it was close every game against Arkansas when they had Nutt and Petrino. A sound Arky team is our Achilles heel and with a guy like Beilema who has a power running game and above average QB play offense, it'll be a matter of time til they become competitive again.

Have you just forgotten the past 5 years?

I gotta believe. So close in 2011 when we weren't expected and this is another not expected year.

I would absolutely love this unless our 1 loss is to an undefeated A&M.

I got a better chance of choking on my own dick than A&M has of going undefeated.

Offense improves (of course) and get this...defense improves too...Mingo and Montgomery underwhelmed, we'll have good pressure in the middle with Freak and Ego and the news guys on the edge are future 1st rounders...LB's will take a step down and CB's will be about the same. This is the strongest team since 2003, balance wise. There I said it.

Have you seen the leftovers that Beliema has to deal with? This Arky team will have a hard time winning four to five games this season.

The stretch between TAMU-Alabama will be a bloodbath and I get the vibe that Arky may be disinterested after lossing four straight games.

I hate that I used to say "Give Les Miles a month to prepare for you in a bowl game and he will blow you out." We will go to a bowl game and will most likely go there with a 9-3 or 8-4 (heaven forbid) record. I just wish we had that confidence that no matter what happened during the regular season, we could beat anyone and beat them decisively in a bowl game like we used to could.

This team has a lot of similarities to 2011 IMO. the 2011 tigers were rebounding from losing a ton of key players but was stacked with hungry youngsters. At the same time they were facing a tough schedule.

This year the main difference is that the experienced talent is on the offense. I for one am not worried about the D. But I am worried about the team leadership. Who is going to be the glue that holds the team together through adversity? Who is going to be the Mathieu type playmaker that we lacked last year? And how much leeway will Les give to the new OC?

My heart says 11-1 with a loss to UF but my brain says 9-3 with losses at Bama, UF, and some pee on that we shouldn't lose to.
