LSU does not officially have a opening at head coach, but I think we all know it's not a matter of if, but when. I figured I would get a jump start on potential coaching candidates.

I'm well aware that some of these names will not be considered, either because they have no interest in LSU, or LSU has no interest in them. I tried to cover as many as possible though, and I'll add more as potential candidates names start to pop up.

Billy Napier was a position coach. Aranda was a really good d-coordinator.

Yeah and Dave won a NC as an Assistant.

Jimbo and Kiffin have NCs listed from their assistant days.

The more I look into some of these options, the more I like Billy Napier. Some people will push back just on the principle of LSU poaching from ULL, but the guys resume is impeccable. There was one rough season while he was at Clemson, but otherwise Billy has been successful every step of the way. He's been a QB coach at several stops, he's shown ability to be the playcaller for successful offenses that are both run-centric and pass-centric, which indicates he can adapt to his personnel to find the best option for his team. He's a good recruiter that is already familiar with the state of Louisiana. This guy is at the absolute top of my wishlist.

Add Nathaniel Hackett to the list. He should be a prime target.

I'll make you a bet: Woodward has his man already, and he has for a while now....just waiting for the right time to act.
And it will be someone not on this list.

Sure is fun to predict coaching hires! LOL!!!!!

Why does his name keep coming up? He's never coached in college so why would he start now?
