The Mullet or Coach Sanders, both names gathering a lot of steam from my sources. I haven't been wrong yet.

Every year y’all come up with the same names for coaches and none of these coaches are winning more than our current coach( except for last season)

Well let’s look at our last 3 coaches, they all won more at LSU than at their previous head coaching jobs.

Fickell

I keep seeing his name mentioned. He wasn't that great when he was at Ole Miss, if I remember right?

I'm really asking because I don't know. I try to stay up to date but why is he such a popular prospect? Again, I'm genuinely asking.

I was looking at the big 10 coaching salaries, didn’t realize the type of money the coaches make these days.

Fitz is already getting over 5mil.

Que? Did you mean Freeze? Fickell has basically never been outside of Ohio. Born in Columbus, went to Ohio State, GA at Ohio State, briefly at Akron and back to Ohio State until he got the Cincy job.

Although he would be far from my first choice, Jamey Caldwell might be worth adding to the list.

My fault. I had him mixed up with the guy that used to be the head coach at Ole Miss.

The guy that was the coach after Freeze.

I agree with Fickell. Who the heck am I thinking of?

I can see his face but I can't think of his name.

ETA: Matt Luke. I knew the name Luke was in there

Give me Chris Peterson.

3 of his 6 seasons at udub he had at least 5 losses. The most was 6, twice.

He had 5 conference losses in those 3 years.

Not a glowing achievement in the Pac 12.

On top of that, his 2016-2018 seasons were his best years of the 6. Here's some telling info on the 2016-2018 seasons.

2016 Mark Helfrich took Oregon into the shitter with 7 conference losses.

2017 The Willie Taggart fiasco.

2018 Cristobal putting the pieces back together.

2019 Cristobal goes 8-1 in conference play and suddenly udub is shite again.

So, one of the best teams in the conference and in their division was down lending a helping hand. This is during a time that the Pac wasn't as good top to bottom as they are in other seasons.

I really thought he would do more and wanted him at LSU but not now.

If we have to it'll at least be better than this shitshow. I wouldn't say no but I'd rather someone else.

I like Cristobal. He would have both lines stacked. He would attract good help.

Not being rude but why do you want Campbell or Cristobal?

Campbell is a hype man like O - he loses games he shouldn't.

Cristobal is literally an offensive line version of O. Doesn't call any plays and relies off coordinators. 52-57 record and 3-3 bowl games.

so cant answer on campbell but can on cristoball. He has called plays and was OC for Tagert the one year before he took over.

Cristoball was a young up and coming coach when he went to FIU. Consdered young and one of the best Oline coaches in the nation. He built them slowly over the time and at the time they were fricking horrible. went 1-11 first year. 3 wins the second. 7 the 3rd up to 8 by 4th year. then slipped to 3-8 and they fired him which was crazy.

eventually made it to bama as oline coach and recruiting coordinator before going to oregon.

has dont well at oregon.I dont count last year with the crazy crazy covid shite and everything else happening in oregon. way worse than here.

but overall he is outrecruiting his peers and is beating them getting Oregon back close to the level they were under kelly(not there yet)

Im not saying i want Cristobal, im just giving reasons why people are throwing his name in the hat. He is a dynamic recruiter and is much much more X & O than O is.

for the record Matt Campbell was oline coach and eventually became OC at toledo for 2 seasons before getting HC job after Beckman left for Illini.

so both have been OCs and both have won at smaller schools and now at bigger schools.

Personall opinion is Napier is the next superstar but just wanted to correct could things.

And they got their arse beat.

Like i said he is a good coach but i think people overrate him.

yea but he elevated them from 6 win sark to being the power in the Pac 12 in just a few short seasons. They have sucked since he left too.

Boise he was by far the most successful.

His kid was sick but isnt anymore and is grown

He isn't coming here anyway.

prolly right but he actually is worth a phone call.

Great stuff 777. I just like Cristobal because he has a good record of offensive lineman and it hurts watching this LSU team line up

Look up at my post....the power in the Pac 12? With Oregon down he won. When they were up udub was down.

They have been worse since he left but they weren't all that while he was there.

I still think he calls the big names first. As in Saban, Dabo, Meyer, and then maybe Jimbo.

After that he then starts going through the others if none of them take. But I am telling you it would not surprise me if one of those names takes with the right money. It is easier to win at LSU. I think most of the country is seeing that now.

Peterson will not coach at LSU. He is retired. Will not uproot his family to move here.

Napier might get called but he will be on the list of others in the second group.

I dont see Crystobal here. He has not shown enough where he is.

Freeze is a no go. Keep dreaming everyone. LSU will stop Woodward on this point.

Kiffen as well. And I am sorry he is not a proven commodity as a head coach, offensive coordinator possibly but not head coach. Plus might bring to much baggage with Title IX coming into play.

Woodward likes big flashy hires. LSU does as well with him steering them that way. Look for it to be a big flashy hire to show the rest of the country.
