I read all of your posts, some spot on and some ridiculous. Right now all we can do is wait and be patient.

To the misinformed who think that Greg Sankey is involved, you are wrong. This is not an SEC game.

I called the LSU Ticket office today and they told me that the NCAA will make the decision as to what to do with the game. If they cancel or move the game, those who bought tickets will be issued a refund as in years past.

Just move it to BYU

That's what Alleva will agree to plus an additional home game in Utah next year.

I got this. I just turned off my sprinkler system. Won't see rain for a month.

WAFB just reported that Verge Ausberry says that LSU hasn't had any discussions about moving the game or altering game time. Wow.

For you dumbasses that means with appropriate officials. It does NOT mean that Lsu hasn't discussed this internally. Jesus Christ.

Exactly. They should be in touch with the people making the decisions. Is it up to LSU where the game is played? LSU can talk about internally all they want, that won't make a difference. They should have reached out to those officials.

It's premature to know. Nothing has happened yet. I haven't seen or heard anything, but it's logical to think that there is a possibility of an alternative plan if the amount of rain falls as predicted and the storm stalls in that area until Tuesday or whenever it is they say the storm will move. They may need the facility to house folks. Who knows at this point. There's no point in predicting anything right now. This is a wait and see situation.

Problem is that on Tuesday 29 Aug Harvey will be just south of Houston, still a tropical storm with possibility of moving back offshore and becoming a hurricane AGAIN. That's not my prediction but comes from some "experts" at Weather Channel. So, go figure.

Hate to say it, but if these rainfall projections hold true for Houston, it's possible.

You sure got a lot of down votes. I'll try to give you a reasonable answer

If the storm affects Texas in a manner where the game cannot be played in Houston I would bet it would become an LSU home game as Tiger Stadium only needs 3-4 days for basic prep.

I really doubt they try to find another neutral site.

The reason Houston may not be able to host would most likely be severe flooding which causes an exacuation TO Houston from the Gulf Coast, not that Houston was effected directly.

I am not concerned about the game being delayed and do not think Houston will be directly or indirectly affected enough.

I've read this entire thread haven't heard mention of Houston's drainage system. Is it prone to backing up easily?

I don't think the hotel situation will be too terribly fricked up, seeing as most of the fans will probably be in the hotels in the area around the stadium. Houston is one of the biggest cities in the country, spread out over a wide area, they have hotels for evacuees. If it's bad enough though they will have to use the stadium.

Warning: if you fly out of Houston airports this weekend don't park your car on the ground level. My car was flooded at the Houston Hobby airport area when the tropical storm Allison stalled and dumped over 30 inches of rain in Houston in 2001 in 2-3 days.

As an engineer, I can't imagine storm water drainage systems that are capable of handling what could be up to 30" of rain in/around HOU between Saturday & mid next week.

It's a coastal city, so yeah it floods in certain areas. Tropical Storm Allison in 2001 flooded large parts of Houston.

I think every city would have flooding issues from 20+ inches of rain. Hopefully the forecast is wrong.

If storm hits at a category 3 as predicted there wont be a game in Houston.

Folks here in Dallas are saying it will have time to get to a 4.

Either way, 3 or 4, the game will not happen if that type of storm hits and stalls.
