Each board is a mixed board but 247 “Bucknuts” had some good ones.

To all you Joe Burrow hating folks: 1) He walked over and hugged Coach Day and Coach Mick before he took the podium. He didn't have to do that. 2) He mentioned Ohio State multiple times in his speech and was very grateful to Ohio State. That's respect and a total class act in Joe Burrow
quote:
yea agree, and he was asked multiple times about his OSU experience during the season and was nothing but positive towards the university, he also was a class act in asking about comparing Michigan/OSU to the Alabama/LSU rivalry. Nothing but respect for the young man.
quote:
I have to say, I was a hater. I feel kind of embarrassed. Total class act.
quote:
Agree 110% Joey is a class act. Rather have him than Mayfield in Cleveland!!!
quote:
What a classy, humble young man. And the multiple shoutouts to Ohio State, hugging Day, etc ... so happy for Joe, THAT is how you accept a Heisman.

Meeting OSU in New Orleans is the perfect end to this story.
Not sure they'll still be talking about how much they love Joey if LSU wins, tho.

I don't think he ever had any ill will towards Ohio St
He got beat out in what sounded like a close race to a first round draft pick in Haskins who was pretty good himself
Injury is what set him back more than anything and then when Haskins had to fill in for an injured QB and beat Michigan that kind of gave him a leg up in winning the job.
Even coming into his sr year I don't think many gave him a chance to win Heisman and have that kind of year statistically based on what he did last year. Schemewise LSU changed and he never had to take a snap from center plus he had a whole year with pretty much the entire offense back. Last year they had so many new faces on offense it took awhile to gel but you could see signs toward the end of the year they were getting on the same page.

Meyer never wanted Joe and wasnt planning on giving him a chance. Joe was a better qb than Barrett and Haskins. I've said this for a long time. I got heck from osu fans that thought I was nuts. Some are saying that I was right. I followed Joe and Athens since his junior year. Myself and the locals knew Joe was going to do great things. When Joe came to Lsu some fans weren't impressed but I said Joe will win the Heisman and be successful in the pros

Cool comments..we all may have "Dislike" for someone or some team but to HATE is carrying it a little bit too far concerning a young man playing college football...

I’ll give joe burrow all the credit in the world for that speech. He’s a better man than me cause I would’ve wanted to say, “hey OSU, how do you like me now?”
