He was recruited by Nolan pretty early in HS. He has said in interviews he was a big part in him going there when he left.

LaViolette parents are from Patterson and Berwick. I could see him going to LSU over following Schloss to Texas.

Schloss is taking his staff with him to Texass. His asst's are VERY popular with the players. His best players who wanna transfer will most likely go with Schloss to Texass.

From the periphery this is somewhat crazy to me how a player could leave a school like atm and go to their arch rival. I get transferring but to be at the ultimate rival school one season later? Can anyone have imagined this in the 90’s or 2000’s? Nil and the portal have truly become the Wild West.

absolutely players will follow him and the entire coaching staff ..... 18-20 yr old college athletes are no longer loyal to the school, they're loyal to coaches. In 2024, it's all about making $$$ and profiting from NIL deals. Most of the high-quality players only have 1-2 years left before they're draft eligible. Many will never see a MLB roster. An NIL deal today will be more $$ than their future rookie baseball contract.
