People that post or use the word natty deserve a beating.

Pretty much anyone over 14 yr olds

Nope. Matt Flynn isn’t JD5. The 2007 team is greater than the 2023 team, but that has nothing to do with individual QB performances

Then yes he would have accomplished something Daniels didn’t

We remembered JaMarcus Russell and Matt Flynn. We would have remembered Russell even more fondly, had his NFL career gone right.

Tennessee remembers Peyton Manning and Tee Martin. Guess which one they bring up and talk about more though...

Whether people want to admit it or not Ryan Perriloux was crucial to our run in 2007.

Huh?

So you think Flynn was a better QB?

I don't know, but from their NFL careers, you tell me.
Flynn has a Green Bay single game passing record. That includes Bart Starr and Rogers careers.
The only NFL record JR holds is "Biggest Bust". IMO it wasn't a lack of talent, he had all the talent required, it was a lack of want.

This is a dumb thread, especially considering the fact that if JD5 couldn't win with this defense, there isn't a QB1 in the country who could. Dude gave us the best offense in the country with insane QB efficiency, and we lost 3 games. JD5's name is going to be in Tiger Stadium as a Heisman winner. That's special.

I’ll take it a step further. While they didn’t win a title, the 2006 team was actually better than the 07 team. Less accomplished maybe but better.

There's a reason Flynn never became a starter after that game.

Regardless, weird as hell to ignore their LSU careers when making that comparison.

Flynn and Mauck over Daniels is nasty work. A title doesn't mean shite when ranking QBs. If Daniels has any of the defenses that the guys he put above them, we have another blowout season and play for a title.

Absolutely. We had a better OL, Receivers, and defense in 06. Fewer injuries in O6 also.

And a much harder schedule. All 4 SEC road games were against teams ranked at the time of the game
