I was pretty close to wanting my $1k emotional hedge. Frey’s bases clearing double brought me off the ledge. I knew we were in a good spot after that.

That damn team just wouldn’t go away.

I felt good b/c i didn't think either of their 2 pitchers had good stuff. From the first swing, we were just under some fastballs and popped up. I knew we would begin to make some better contact( outside of Frey lol). Then when they brought in their ace, i knew if we can get his count up he would fall off quick and did.

I felt like there was a lot of baseball left but was frustrated to see our performance to that point of course. But no, I didn’t think we were too far down to come back.

Had a bit a doubt but was hopeful knowing Evans was coming in. Seems tigers were hitting the ball and they had to start falling 8n 0lay.

absolutely not. the biggest "negative thought" i had was when we were hitting hard balls that were caught, and things appeared to be going their way....we've seen it all before where its just that team's night. but, we've also seen it enough times where we still persevere....and i'm going to watch to the bitter end with some hope and optimism. its part of being fanatical. and, with age, losses sting at the moment, but i can go to sleep and forget about it much easier than i used. i guess some perspective, but i still hate losing in anything.

I didn’t give up hope, but was mad at Jay for starting Cowan, instead of Evans…

Never gave up but was completely stressed all the way to the last pitch. Evans gave a Trey Hodges MVP level effort and thank God Eayanson settled in a little. Totally looked wild at first. When I went to bed I noticed I had a stress headache and my jaw ached from clenching. The year of the underdog in baseball and about 1,000 articles were already written summing to “worst of all and all time was LSU losing at home to …”. West Virginia ain’t scared of us, that’s for sure

Ordinarily 5-1 is a lot to come back from, but I knew they were pitching on fumes. My main worry was if Evans only gave us four innings whether we could rely on the rest of our pen to get us to Eyanson. But to your question, of course I never gave up hope. I was starting to think it was a coin toss, though.

I went to bed in the 3rd inning. Too damn late.

I stayed till the end, but the night before I went to bed after the first. My wife was first to check the score the next morning, and when she said 10 to 4, I said, “That’s about what I expected.” But it wasn’t.

I was nervous, but there was a lot of game left. Also just saw Ole Miss almost come back from being down by more.

College baseball is wild and comebacks happen often.

I am always one who is "it ain't over until it's over" especially LSU baseball.

But honestly, and I'm a little ashamed to admit it, with the way pitching was going, the attitude of the players, and how juiced LR was at that point, I really did not think we were going to win once we went down 5-1. It felt like the Ole Miss game in the SECT.

I'm glad I was wrong!

I had to start rationing the beer I had left the first few innings but once Evans came in and got calibrated I knew we were in good hands. We had way too many hard hit balls and were keeping pressure on them. I also knew that they went back to their Friday night guy who was ok but that was a sign of desperation. They had nothing left. It was only a matter of time.

Who is "we"? I didn't come to toot my own horn. It was really an after thought to put that in there. Go back and look at my posts if you want and find me ever saying we can't come back. Good luck.

When we were started leaving bases loaded and couldn't find the strike zone, I was thinking we were cooked down 5-1. How could I not after the last sample? I thought our team was mentally rattled.
