re: PMAC renovations OR new arena…..

If a new arena is ever in talks, it needs to stay in the center of campus. When you start moving things too far off campus, the feel just goes away in my opinion.

Exactly right, the admin doesn’t give a shite about attendance, if the boosters want their boxes, and they do, there’s going to be a renovation or a new arena. It just tells about the people who run LSU that they’ll spend 15 mil plus to act like bosses in their boxes but they won’t shill out more than 2.6 for a coach. I think McMahon can get it done because he has the right idea about recruiting and can coach basketball, it’s just telling about the admins priorities when you look at where the spending goes in regards to the basketball program.

LSU should build a new arena

I wish it could be a total renovation of PMAC because oft its unique shape and location on campus and the history made in that center.

Where would they put it? In theory, it could help expand the academics part once they demolish the old one, if they put it further out.

I personally like the PMAC though. I think it has character.

I think we need a new arena. You can keep putting lipstick on a pig, but a new arena is going to have to be built someday and it will cost more in the future.
