Cant believe anyone would seriously believe that tearing the P-Mac down would even be an option. Renovation is THE ONLY OPTION! Get real people!

Pmac layout and size is fine! Watching a game in there is awesome / feels like an intimate arena but holds nearly 14,000! Atmosphere is great.

Need to adjust seating / students need to be horizontal around court not vertical. Also needs facelift / tired of seeing the ceiling tiles peeling and about to fall off

Minor tweaking would be perfect. Don’t tear it down

PMAC : Remodel or Rebuild ?

Both. Time to step the game up.

Build a new arena next to the Box for MBB and Gymnastics, with attached practice facilities for each team.

Remodel the PMAC for WBB and volleyball. Remodel the current BB practice facility for WBB, and remodel the current Gymnastics Practice Facility for volleyball.

Alleva has been in talks with the City-Parish to co own a facility at Skip Bertman and River Road.

Skip Bertman and River Road is LSU’s campus.

Also it would be dumb to build one in another location.

One simple change that could make a very big impact on atmosphere is to add some type of lighting outside of the ring of banners. It shouldn’t be anything bright like over the court. But some lower wattage lighting would liven up the place a bit. Other than that, I love the PMAC.

How about a new floor to start with? That stenciled Tiger head looks terrible. Compare that to the TCU floor, the Kansas Jay Hawk logo and others.

Rebuild

Needs suites inside, this will no doubt move some of the older folks out of courside, lower section seats.
Move press up as well, to the top. Let the guys calling the game stay courside, maybe. Move seats closer to the court on at least one side.

Freshen up outside of pmac and add LSU themed lighting. Lighting similar to Tiger stadium/super dome.

I’m aware of that. Doesn’t mean LSU can’t cut someone in to share construction costs.
I’m against this, but know it’s being discussed.

The other costs & logistics involved In a remodel might be a nightmare . a whole new arena might be worth the cost , but the PMAC size is perfect no need to go bigger or smaller, just some sort of concourse going in to the arena

Rebuild

For those who say "Rebuild"...where do the teams practice and compete while this is going on? I say "teams" because the volleyball and gymnastic teams share the arena with men's and women's basketball.

The volleyball team uses the old basketball practice facility in the sub-basement, along with the offices down there.

That's four teams without a place to play, and one without a place to even practice during a rebuild.

There's plenty of reasons to build a new arena in a new, more accessible location on campus.

Those are just a few more.
