What's more Feasible? I love the PMAC . Some things are dated for sure ... but I would hate to see it torn down because of the nostalgia for me ... but if a new arena meant sustaining a top tier program ... tear it down

it’s not about the arena. Many schools pack the house every night in old arenas. Focus on the product on the floor.

Inside is fine in the pmac imo, besides the press basically having premium seating.

The outside look is what really needs to change.

Give the writing ability displayed by OP, said nostalgia is unlikely to stem from days as a student. Dude has more useless periods than a woman in delayed menopause.

go to a KU game and sit in Allen. It holds 17000 and will sell out. Very very nice.

I still remember the John M. Parker coliseum and seeing Pete play there!

Only major basketball facility where if the ball went out of bounds, might get cow poop on it.

Remodel and renovate. For Pete's sakes (pun intended) this is The House That Pete Built! Outside needs a fresh coating of some type in order to fix the weathered look. Interior could use a little change up as well insofar as ceiling and seating goes. But do NOT tear it down! That place has more history than Rupp Arena in Lexington!

On a side note, I think it would be cool as hell to play at least one game each year at the Cow Palace.

I'm no architect, but I wonder if ramps could be torn down and build a huge two story glass corridor going into the arena on both levels

Alleva has been in talks with the City-Parish to co own a facility at Skip Bertman and River Road. Kinda like UK and City of Lexington does with Rupp.

Build a brand new one. Let's go 1st class. We can afford it. When you try to do something halfassed, you end up spending twice as much in the long run.
