Duh, silly goose. But I don't recall her telling me the exact location, just that area.

I kind of like this. Make the old PMAC location into a champions square kind of thing where lsu can host game day and what not

I've been screaming for this for years

But NOPE, we here in Louisiana don't care about doing what is best. We care about doing what is cheapest to pull off.

There's no reason a T&F facility should occupy what is now prime real estate on campus. Not to mention how dated both buildings (Outdoor stadium and Maddox Fieldhouse) are these days.

Remodel. Suites on both sides across the middle of the arena. Reduces overall seating but pays for itself. I’m no architect but think it could work. Give students back the bottom 5 rows all around the building. Then take it back in stages and move them back up if they don’t show up during tough times.

It would be more cost effective long term to demo and rebuild the best facility in the SEC.

Yes I agree. A nice promenade at the front entrance would be great!

I'm full of it because I don't like the floor. F off with that. It's an opinion. And it looks awful on TV. And there are a lot more people who watch the games from there than go to the games. That stenciled Tiger head has no pop or color to it.

Just a thought, not trying to start a fight, but if it is not dangerous, and is comfortable, why build another one? Lot of history in that place. Why try to keep up with anyone or change for change sake?

yet you suggested a floor like TCU’s pale arse washed out court?? shite is annoying to look at. LSU’s floor is the best it’s ever been.

A building doesn't sustain a program. Players and coaches do.
Anyone believing otherwise is being foolish.

Agreed.

What most people don't know is the PMAC lacks some basic infrastructure required to support modern events.

1. Severe lack of cable pathways limit the types of events that can be hosted.
2. Structural integrity issues adding the weight of suites in a building not designed for it
3. damn near impossible to install facility wide cellular/wifi for anything less than $12M
4. Difficult Truck/bus access to host events
5. Basement floods
6. Dark lighting with limited control
7. Concourse that is too narrow by today's standards limiting retail options

Either build a new facity in the footprint of T&F stadium or move games to the BR River Center and demo/build in place

In today's world, TAF needs to monetize the PMAC in more ways than just LSU athletics events. The PMAC is simply not up to snuff to host marquee events.
