This - why do we argue that our facilities are better than rest of SEC? Almost every SEC baseball team has facilities that equal what PM works with - before the new stadium we were falling behind on the field and off.
Our fan base is the best and local talent is off the charts.
What baseball coach could do better? Hinch or Carlos Beltran available and need jobs.
But the argument is on campus. Gymnastics has the best facility in the country, football has a top 5 set up, softball probably has the best. None are winning 11 of the last 30 titles in the league or 11 of the next 30.
WW has one of the worst and wins, but if you believe Alleva (or have ears), it comes with an *. PM is nationally respected, players generally act right, and program is clean as a whistle.
If we don't win something in 2020 or 2021 we can start a conversation, but before a 2020 pitch has been thrown is off base.

I don't think anyone actually believes that CPM will be fired after this year. But if he doesn't make it to Omaha with this team, he'll be on the hot seat next year.

Look out for ULL. With Matt Deggs there expect big things from the Cajuns. If we don’t make the change they will become the dominant baseball program in the State! He is everything that Manure isn’t!

If you think ULL will become the dominant baseball program in the state, you’re on crack. They’re still ULL.
Deggs is a good coach, but it’s still a fricking sunbelt school that relies on state funding for their athletic program. We could have Smoke Lavals leftover cheese fries coaching and they still wouldn’t overtake us.

Is our local talent better than what Florida, A&M, and Georgia get to recruit from?
Here’s a hint: no.

You think Mainieri inherited a rolls royce of a program? Ive seen something similar posted a few times over the last 24 hours. Dont know where that narrative is coming from
Baseball doesn’t matter what you inherit.
It can e turned around in a year or two, tops.

And mainieri turned it around
Why is this an issue ?

Do you watch baseball or just check the box scores from time to time? You seem to be exerting a ton of energy for something you care little about.

Enough to watch us fold every offseason due to zero bats in the lineup and to know we don’t have any left handed pitchers.
Never seen talented groups of guys so lost at the plate year after year.
And Bregman wasnt an anomaly just a cheater.

Reason enough to terminate Leslie Maineri’s contract, that’s kind of a big deal

You think an employment decision should be based on roster construction? And you think we would be able to hire another coach after that kind of meddling?

LSU added Eddie Smith maybe you can tune in this year.

Football doesn’t have a SEC tournament so it’s silly to include that.
Gymnastics doesn’t have divisions.
Who cares about a division title. SEC titles and national titles are the only things that matter.

The number of injuries to the pitching staff (no I’m not blaming the coaches) was 30X more of a factor than not having a left handed pitcher.

quote:LSU had led the nation in attendance for like 24 years.
Fan support had dropped to an all time low too. Yes it was still good compared to the rest of the nation, but alot quit attending and actual attendance dropped a good bit
Face it, we are not the premier program anymore. Who’s fault is it?
